of 3 losses a year in the mighty ACC Atlantic is now going to make A&M, who hasn't won a conf title in 20 years or a NC since 1938, a national power in the SEC West?

It’s very cute to see this 180 from LSU fans on Jimbo simply because Aggies can actually afford him

I’ll give him 3.5 years until the Ags are ready to run him out of town.

Naw, dude.
If photobucket hadn't cannibalized my account, I'd show you the anti-Jimblow meme I made when his name first came up.
This Tiger fan never wanted him, I promise.

I am actually confused by it too.

I think he will absolutely improve A&M, and can't figure out why anyone could logically think otherwise.

Texas A&M is a sleeping giant and the right coach - recruiter would have the Aggies kicking some serious arse in our conference. Is Jimbo the right coach - recruiter to make the sleeping giant awaken? I don't know.

A national title, a playoff birth, and currently has top-five talent.
Jimbo Fisher is a good coach.

Don't lump us all together, I've been saying for two years now that Jimbo is overrated.

We can't all luck into the national title game already having 2 losses.

Since the ACC went to a 2-division format in the 2005 season, Florida State has won their Division 6 times, their conference 4 times, and the National Title once.
Of those, Fisher is responsible for 4/6 Division, 3/4 Conference, and 1/1 National Titles.
GTFO with that shite, OP.

There really is no 180 at all by LSU fans as regards Jimbo Fisher.
First, many LSU fans never supported Jimbo believing that he wasn't worth the money he was demanding. Second, the many LSU fans that did and likely still would like to have Jimbo as HC at LSU believe that he'd likely be far more successful at LSU than he would be at A&M.
Saban would not be as successful at A&M as he has been at Alabama and was at LSU. Miles would not have been as successful at most places as he was at LSU - maybe why is phone isn't yet ringing amidst so many coaching vacancies. Spurrrier wasn't as successful at South Carolina as he was at Florida. Bear Bryant was far more successful at both Kentucky and Alabama than he was at A&M.
As the only major school in state with a relatively significant volume of HS football talent, LSU has a unique opportunity relative to A&M for a coach to be more successful than that same coach would be at many other schools including A&M. The Aggies, who faces daunting recruiting competition for Texas HS talent (including UT, TCU, OU and even LSU), apparently require far more coaching and recruiting talent to be successful than would be typically required to be successful at LSU with all other things being equal. LSU would have Jimbo as its HC today if LSU were willing to pay what A&M has reportedly offered and is hoping Jimbo accepts to become the next A&M HC. LSU wasn't willing to pay that much and has done quite well relative to A&M without doing so. A&M, on the other hand, apparently has to pay more to attract the talent they need to try and become competitive with LSU Football.
That is all.
