The silence around Leach is deafening

10 days ago he opened as the betting favorite to be Arkansas' next HC. Few days ago he liked a tweet suggesting Leach should get in contact with Arkansas. However, nearly all recent reports leave him out of the picture with no explanation. I'm beginning to think Leach will be the guy.

He was the betting favorite when?

That actually could be true. I really want a different kind of spread rather than the air raid...

If it is Leach, who would it benefit the most? Kelly or Storey?

No reason fo wait on leach if it's him
We are still looking at our options IMO

Agree. If it was him it would be done and probably public already. I think our guy is one of the guys playing this weekend. Probably won't know until after that unless it leaks.

The season ended for Arkansas and WSU just a few days ago and the Arkansas job came open just a few days ago. Not far fetched that the contract is in the negotiation stage.

I sure hope not.
Not what Arkansas needs.

Also, with all the openings (Tenn, Nebraska, A&M, MSU) Leach may be weighing his options or looking to drive up his price.

His teams would get pummeled by the physicality of the SEC

I've followed Leach's teams since he was hired at Texas Tech. If he is interested, I honestly believe he would be a good hire.

Eh, we've tried this "let's out-physical the SEC" thing before and it's not worked all that great. Give me someone that can scheme around the future NFL d-linemen and linebackers that we play nearly every week instead of running right at them.

What better for the FlagShip than the Pirate himself?

That's not what I'm advocating. I haven't said the same thing about any other coach on our radar... but the air raid produces physically weak teams.

Kiffin

I'd be very excited about Kiffin. If, for no other reason, he might actually be able to bring talent to the Hill that no other coach in recent memory has.

I believe Leach would be able to recruit better talent at Arkansas than anywhere else he has coached. Talent would not be an issue IMO.

We play in the SEC, talent is an issue with any coach we have had since we entered the SEC....

Leach is in the tier 2 candidates

Yes. Recruiting has been an issue, as it has been with any Razorback coach. He would have to be able to recruit well, in-state and out-of-state. The talent is available.
