He’s making a mistake.

State is poised to have a few good seasons. UF is a couple of years away - even in the best case scenario.

I hope y’all get a good coach.

Mullen is kind of a dickhead for this, IMO.

I like MSU a lot. Them having success, even at our expense, was fun to watch. Hopefully they can make a good hire. A strong overall conference is better for everyone.

Honestly, no one cares what Ole Miss fans have to say about this.

Why?
For accepting a better position for himself and his family?
It’s business.

Agree, but it is what it is. Hearing Grantham is headed with him. Will be interesting to see what they can do against Kirby and UGA in the coming years. Seems like they had our/their number this year.

I’d leave Grantham’s arse in Starkville.

to be quite honest this could be really good. Maybe Dan Mullen reached his peak and we as a university haven't. John Cohen was a coach for a while. He knows how they think and hired a good baseball coach last year. I think we'll be fine. Dan got our fans committed and we have come to expect at worst 8-4 coaches. That's a big step. We have a whole lot to offer when it comes to working with the administration.

Not a hard choice

Given Mullen's track record with defensive coordinators, it could turn into a train wreck from day one in he doesn't take Grantham. He might have some trouble getting one.

He finished 2nd in 2014. You're an idiot. KYS.

Because it’s the same job in the same conference. He could have leveraged a pay raise or some incentives at State but he decided to stay in conference and change schools. Just kind of shitty.

Don't mind giant leaf..He is just mad that they got drilled by Auburn. All he wants is to pile on and try to make someone else feel worse.

For himself and his ego, probably. For his family, probably not. He essentially had a lifetime contract making $6M. If he crashes and burns at UF, he won't sniff that again.

It's all good. I have faith that Cohen will make a good hire. MSU is a much more attractive job today than it used to be.
