I won't lie. When I lived in Birmingham and had a long commute, I listed to the show on those trips.
It is a weird dynamic. They are like a big dysfunctional family. I stopped listening frequently after Shane died.
I think those callers need the show. I think it brings something to their lives, so more power to them. I am however, amazed that it dominates the SEC Network. I would have hoped for a lot more quality programming. I have to pay extra up here to get the network--- I do, but just because of the games I would otherwise miss. But it seems like they had so much potential for quality programming and instead settled for the cheapest, lowest common demoninator versus tapping into the great potential.
I would have loved a show with just old SEC coaches from the 80's and 90's for example.
Hell, I would just listen to hear them talk about the old stories.

I know Jim's real name. I set up on alter on TideSports back in the day using his real name. I would call people fool and brag a lot. Then, "Jim" came out of the closet one day to his fellow posters. The real guy called the Editor of the Tuscaloosa News (they ran the site) and threatened to sue them. The Editor said that he called multiple times and was screaming. I got banned for a little while, but it was totally worth it.

The SEC network fails badly. When baseball season is over I'll be cancelling.

Lane Kiffin is a clown. I took that idiot to school. He will never get a big time job. He has no class.

Lots of people know me son. I carry that show. You can ask Paul, he admits that I am the best caller by far. You sound jealous. Typical Auburn trash.
