I see some cocksure Yankee Tiger posters who seem to think victory is assured in Fayetteville, a city in which they have never won.
Just months ago, yall thought he was the worst hire imaginable, falling into line with what the other 13 SEC teams and rest of the country thought since his announcement. IIRC, you lost 35-3 to Purdue at home???
So is he good now? Do yall want to lock him down long term? What does it take to keep his job next year? Or is beating Arkansas enough.
"Show Me" the latest zeitgeist on your "big name" hire

Wait until after next year and I’ll answer then, but he’s turned the season around like I’ve never seen before despite playing bad teams.

This thread is pitiful.
Y’all are firing your coach. Not us.

We know. We have known for many weeks.
Want to discuss your program now, or just stick with Arkansas

Won't know until next year: Does the winning carry over, or do they start out totally unprepared, again.

Yeah. Remember when we could boast about Mississippi State never beating us in the state of Arkansas, or with a head coach not in his first year? Bert lives for smashing what precious few good records we have.

He has underwhelmed so far.
First season he changed the defense because .. well, no one is sure why. Fired the Dline coach and sent him home during the Tennessee game. Didn’t fire the D Coordinator. Or the Defensive backfield coach. Took over defensive play calling so that we had the highest paid linebacker coach in perhaps the world.
Forgot the season started in September this year. Then he fired the D Coordinator who was the D Coordinator in name only after a few games. Kicked a player off the team. Cried on the TV and invoked a player who died in practice. Then the team turned around some. The schedule softened up a lot.
I think we’d all like to see the Purdue, SCar and Kentucky games with a do-over. But that’s not football.
Then we’ve lost a few of our good recruits because we started so poorly. And Missouri has a decent high school football class graduating and we may end up with one of them on our roster. Or none.
He’ll get it figured out or he won’t.
That’s all probably more than you deserve in the way of serious conversation.

So say 6-6 next year. Is he out?

Probably not. But our football ticket revenue is in the toilet. We will probably have lost over $4M in that single revenue category from 2014. That trend cannot continue.

we still be working that out.
but he's likely staying for now

Outstanding. Now go polish your superior intellect alone in a dark room so it's ready for the next time you bring it out to discuss sports on a sports message board with "deserving" posters

Yeah. There’s no trolls on here. You seem super sincere.

He's 10-13 overall, 7-13 against FBS teams, lost to Middle Tennessee State and has ONE win against a team with a winning record (7-6 Arkansas)
So no, probably not

Pinkel had similar numbers through his first 2 years.
Except he didn't make a bowl until year 3
