Who is this bum on 92.1 in the mornings? He is terrible. He had Nolan on for an interview a few months ago and it went about like that Chris Farley skit "Hey you remember that time you won the national championship? That was awesome.". Just terrible and I didn't listen again until this week.
This bum was running his mouth about how Michigan wouldn't fire their coach if they went 2-2 against Ohio State, implying we should keep Bert because we're 2-2 against our 'rival' LSU. I got a newsflash: we aren't LSU's rival. We don't have a rival. The 'rivalry' between us and LSU is just like the 'rivalry' between LSU and Bama. Bama don't give a damn about LSU, while LSU marks their calendars for it.
Is there a legit sports morning radio show in NWA?

I mainly agree with you but I don't mark my calendar for anyone these days. Maybe it's my middleaged-ness but LSU has never been more than a fun win when it happens.

I don't think beating LSU is really something the fans circle on the calendar. Sure, we like to beat them and we are 5-7 against them over the last 12 years but it isn't a rivalry that we get fired up for.
Texas yes, LSU, no.
If we started to beat Alabama then the fans would love that. Not even A&M really counts as a hated rival though.
So beating LSU means about as much as beating Ole Miss. Its a conference win. Going 2-2 with them, and likely to be 2-3, pales next to 0-5 against Bama and A&M and 1-4 against Auburn... likely to be joined with 1-4 vs Moo State.

See, now I live near the Mississippi line (or I used too) and across the border in Mississippi so beating Ole Miss is far more satisfying for me.

The Red Zone with JB (Josh Bertacinni). It's okay, but he goes way, way too far into other sports that I don't care about (the NBA, especially). I do like that he talks about music and such quite a bit. He's not exactly a hard hitting journalist.
99.5 and 95.3 carry the same show, which is the Morning Rush. It's probably a little better on Hog content, but it's pretty bad as well.

92.1 is the best morning option in NWA. Those idiots on 99.5 suck arse.
And while we are on the subject, have you guys listened to this new press row show on 99.5 from noon til 2?
I like the host of that show, but the other guy named Vernon is fricking terrible.

We are 10-15 against them in the last 25 years. Not a wonderful record but surprisingly good considering the last 25 years can also lay claim to two of the worst periods of Arkansas football since... well the program started.

We were also 2-3 against Saban during his time in Baton Rouge, one of which was the MoM game that we had absolutely no business winning and won anyway. I was certain Matt Jones had money on LSU and the points until the last drive.
Not getting up for that game was a hallmark of the Miles era, but it didn't begin with him.
