It must be a worse feeling for them to keep losing to Bert than it is for us to keep losing to everyone else because of Bert.

If Bert is still our coach after this season then there is going to be some Yuge backlash from the fans. I think he's gone no matter how we finish. Hawg fans aren't going to put up with more of this shite and Long knows it.

“Thank God for Mississippi” should be the new state motto.

We just beat a team under NCAA investigation, whose coach was fired for banging hookers right before fall camp, without their starting QB with a last second field goal.

Bert has to go.

I don't think this game helped or hurt the cause either way. Now if we would've lost, it would've all but sealed his fate for sure.

Ohhh, it gives pause to a few folks who are involved. the "If he makes a bowl game" crowd... or even with 5 wins.

Now, this one game hasn't made a big difference, but if by some fortune of voodoo or chance or blessing we rattle off a few wins here. thing could change.

I actually think CBB is wanting to leave at this point though.

Agreed.

I was telling my wife this same thing when I was telling her not to pop the champagne after this one. Definitely happy we got the win and excited for our players, but Ole Miss is a terrible team with so many things wrong.

I don't think this changes anything for Bert, nor should it.

Well the tale of the tape so to speak is the look on Bielema's face after the game. A couple of years ago if we had come from 24 down on the road to win a game he'd have been dry humping the sideline reporter while screaming "Woo Pig Sooie!"

Today he looked like someone who's had really bad constipation but finally managed to squeeze one out. Relieved, but not exactly thrilled.

He wants to be somewhere else.

This is my biggest take away from the game. Happy for the players still giving it their all in this shitty situation.

I think he was shocked that his team pulled that off.

Yes. And that somewhere else is Las Vegas. Or back home in Iowa

I think Bielema could do well with some time off. He needs to rethink some stuff before he goes at it again.

1. Don't hold personal grudges against 18 year old kids and refuse to play them because they shoot their mouth off. Same shite happened with Nutt and Mustain. We saw how that played out.

2. Moneyball is just a movie. This isn't Pulaski Academy. We have to do things like force touchbacks on kickoffs instead of trying to play the statistical odds game all the time. Statistical odds games, which by the way, won't work if you aren't putting your best players on the field.

There's others I'm sure.

That will never happen.

The key to understanding Bielema's personality is that he is, by all accounts, an extremely good card player. To the point where he could be a professional at it.

And like all professional gamblers he plays a game ruthlessly devoted to the odds. Tell him this has slightly better odds then this and he'll do it... even if it brings up the dreaded "lies, damn lies, and statistics" bit.

That blank stare he wears on the side line? I will bet you money that is his expression when he plays cards.

The thing is... in cards you have a limited number of players and factors that determine victory. Football, while you can play the odds, is more of a game of emotion. Sometimes you can't just sit back and play the odds, sometimes you have to fly by the seat of your pants.

He will never be able to do that.

Exactly my point.

That blank stare on his face is him calculating odds. But the odds don't jive when you are looking at momentum. It's a variable a card player can't carry over into a football game.

What I'm noticing is the excitement that the fans have. I remember that feeling a few years ago.

Look, I think Bert is a better coach than what he has shown us. Much like his personal appearance, he just doesn't seem to care anymore. Maybe he enjoys spending more time with his wife and now his daughter, and I can understand that, but he seems to have lost the fire. Maybe the man does need to take a few seasons off to see if he still wants to coach. I wish him well anywhere else, but it's time for him to leave.

Not sure what's going on but when a defender gets to a ball carrier they go down immediately.

he definetely runs the type of spread offense I like to see. Similar to what art briles ran and almost all of Texas high schools run. It's basic but if you can get big recievers you can basically run 4 routes all game this it 50 times and score about 40 points guaranteed because idc how good your db is If my guy is 6'5 and he us 5'10 my guy is always open period
