LF7 played in 32 games in college. He had 6.2 ypc for his career.

As of Nick Chubb's 32nd game in college, he was 6.4 ypc.

It's higher now, by the way. But just for apples to apples, even at 32 games, Chubb's was higher.

You know what else is crazy about this .... 13 of those games were after his knee injury... 13 of these games were the "Chubb just isn't the same" season of 2016.

5.5 YPC in those 13. Are you trying to insinuate that he has been the same back after the injury?

Pretty sure that what he's pointing out is how impressive it is that Chubb's career ypc is STILL better than Fournette's even after playing 13 games in 2016 at about 90% and *only* averaging 5.5 yards a carry during that time. It says a lot about just how good Chubb was pre-injury.

And in the 6 games so far in 2017, he's actually averaging 6.8 ypc, so yes, he's looking a lot more like his old self.

Personally, I think Chubb is easily the better, more quality college RB.

Yet, oddly enough, I think Fournette will ultimately end up being the better NFL RB.

This is what yall said in the Jeremy Hill vs Todd Gurley debate.

The piper has been paid on that one.... Gurley better.

can you direct me to a thread where this was a debate? I honestly don't know of anyone that said that unless it was after they had left college and had very comparable rookie years. But I honestly can't remember anyone saying Hill was better coming out of college. I'm sure there were a few, but it couldn't have been anywhere near a majority of posters

but Fournette is clearly better than Chubb.

EXCEPT when you coare stats from the same number of games or against common opponents

Got it - thanks for clearing that up

He's averaged 5.04 YPC in 2016 and has averaged 5.5 YPC since his return from injury. He has looked good in 2016, but against the only rush defense ranked in the top 60 in the country (Notre Dame at 48) he struggled.

Fournette was drug through the mud for "padding stats" against bad defenses by this board. Does Chubb not deserve the same criticisms?

And a potentially great NFL player having a merely solid career at LSU is a good reflection on LSU how, exactly?

Wait, do people actually think Nick Chubb is a better running back than Leonard Fournette? Leonard is in another league than Chubb. Anyone with eyes can see that. LF was the number 4 overall pick. Nick Chubb wont be picked in the first round. Lets stop this nonsense please.

It's fun to hook, line, and sinker LSU fans.

You'll get NFL talks, "throw out his stats, his QB stinks", the OL stinks talk, and blablabla.

I will say this, you DO have to wonder if whether Chubb's '14 stats are inflated because of how beastly that offensive line was.

That LSU has historically wasted elite players.

He's 13th in yards and TDs and 20th in YPC all time in the SEC. If you take only players with 3 years played he's 5th in TDs and and 4th in yards. All-time.

"not elite"

Your ignorance is showing.
