Leach was an assistant at Kentucky for a couple of years in the 90s.

"Oklahoma is louder, (Texas) A&M is louder, Texas is on the bubble," Leach said Wednesday as he began rattling off all the football environments equally or more hostile than the one he'll lead the Cougars into this weekend.
"Nebraska is definitely louder. LSU is louder. I never went to Alabama. We beat Alabama, but it was at Kentucky. Depending whether or not you add the cowbells, Mississippi State is comparable. Georgia is louder, Florida is louder. Definitely that one end zone at South Carolina is louder. Tennessee is louder.
"And Little Rock, Arkansas ... that's the loudest place I've ever played. Entirely concrete structure. It's as if you had a football game in the neighbor's basement and all the kids were yelling louder than hell."

1997 when Alabama lost in Lexington. Leach was OC.
Alabama is 37-2-1 against Kentucky.

Oregon fans are pretty fair weather. The 2 natties they’ve played in looked like home games for the other team

The SEC needs Leach. He'd piss off half of the fan bases just by being himself.

"I keep my guns on one part of the house totally locked up, and I keep the ammunition in another part of the house. Because if you think about it carefully, statistically, you’re more likely to shoot yourself, a loved one or a relative. There’s this (absurd) notion of ‘if you come in my house I’ll shoot ya.’ I do have a Viking axe by the bed if I need to whack someone. … My wife bought me a Viking axe – the axe side curls down so you can grab the adversary around the neck and you can use it to climb walls, as a grappling hook.’
