Chip Kelly...it amazes me how guys like him become the apple of so many eyes in spite of the mediocrity of their past.

I'll be very surprised if Chip Kelly chooses a SEC school for his next stop. He'll be the next coach of UCLA IMO.

Under the BCS and new playoff system you have to invite teams from each conference even if they aren't good enough to be there...ala Auburn 2016.

I hope Kelly is smart enough to hold off for a job like UF or even A&M where he wouldn't need to recruit. Plus it would cost Tennessee a lot money to get him. I look for them to go after Brohn .

lol @ comparing dogshit 2016 Auburn to any one of his Oregon teams
The point is he had elite teams every year he coached.

Chip Kelly still hasn't beaten a single team with an SEC caliber D. His teams were a media creation.

Vo1s...please hire Chip Kelly. I'll pitch in if you can't afford it.

Define an SEC caliber D.
There are 3 teams in this conference that play defense, 'SEC caliber' is a fricking myth at this point.
Wake up, the conference sucks now

Why would you hire a coach you know will finish 4th every year? UT isn't Columbia.

you are dumber than shite if you think Chip Kelly would ever finish behind Gustav or Kirby

But, seriously. I don't see the utility in firing a coach in the middle of the season without something like a Hugh Freeze, Bobby Petrino or Rick Pitino like revelation. Is the team going to be that different with the head man gone? The assistants will spend the rest of the season looking out for themselves (looking for new jobs). I mean, prospective hires know what the situation is or will be at the end of the season. I just don't see why you do it other than the AD and Pres taking pressure off of themselves from their fans that are demanding a change.
