Oregon led the nation in net takeaways when Kelly was their HC. His defenses weren't bad.

Yes, coaches on TV historically come out of the booth and kill it. Oh yea, it's happened one time and that fanbase is already turning on him.

For all the insanity having Gus as a coach has caused I will take his commitment to the run and willingness to shape his O to benefit the D to Kelly's approach 7 days a week.

Kelly was the fist coach PAC-10 history to win an outright conference title in his first year. I'm not sure why you think he'd be behind anyone but Saban.

His NFL record really isn't important.

He also got the Pac-10 in a time when USC was crippled.

Oregon beat the frick out of USC by 27 points in 2009 when Pete Carroll was still there

You think the #5 ranked team in the nation at the time was crippled? Because that's what USC was ranked when Kelly beat them in his first year at Oregon. Pete Carroll was still the coach and sanctions weren't handed down yet.

I wouldn’t do it. Supposedly, there is a baby mama issue in Knoxville. Also, his wife really loves Southern California.

Auburn guy said they were crippled by sanctions, which was clearly untrue. They were also #5 at the time of the game

USC was named "Team of the Decade" by CBS and "Program of the Decade" by SI the year Kelly beat them (in his first year at Oregon).
