Ride him as far as possible imo.

Exactly.

He is a top 5 back in college football. He should get at least 20 touches a game. Michel and Swift are good, but arent anywhere near Chubb's level.

Chaney doesn't have to complicate a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
QB hand-off to #27.

He wants to add marshmallow fluff and bananas (e.g. having a non-running QB run a read option when the whole house knows he's not gonna keep it).

If he gets sick of grape jelly-#27 then change to strawberry- Sony or orange marmalade - Swift, etc...

I don't really think this is an accurate statement. Michel has grown tremendously in his time here. Given the limitations of our interior line and what it has meant for our offense, Chubb is maybe not quite as good out of the shotgun which is what we've largely shifted to. Chubb is easily the best back out of a traditional run set, still has amazing vision and patience... the issue right now is patience ends up getting him contacted in the backfield as the interior collapses too often.

I think 20 touches for Chubb is great if we've got enough touches to go around, but his carries seem to have higher variability than Michel (I'll leave out Swift who is great but still has to grow to catch up IMO). An average of 5 yards or more is great, but if that's 30 and then a bunch of 1-3 yard plays over how ever many carries, I'll take the guy who's averaging 5 but falls forward for 3 yards minimum nearly every carry for more touches... consistent positive yardage is damn near a requirement for this offense. Freshman QB - managing 1st and 2nd downs to keep us in no worse than 3rd and manageable is important. I'm actually curious what Fromm's 3rd down conversion percentage is on plays where less than 5 yards vs more than 5 yards to go. May go look it up but have to imagine it's higher. Chubb commands so much attention, it's hard to know what the cause is, but he seems to end up getting contacted in the backfield more often. He's also not busting the big play when he's 1:1 as frequently just yet. Doesn't mean he won't or can't... it's just not happening consistently yet this season.

I agree. He gets better and wears down the defense. It's a win/win

Come'on meow, Sony is on Chubb's level. Sony is vastly underrated by some on here with comments just like this. In fact, Sony is the more complete back. We are lucky to have both of them, and the gap between the two of them isn't as large as you seem to think.
