Is Saban good for the SEC?

There is NO question he is by far the best coach in all of college football, and great for Alabama, but does his ability to basically cherry pick the best players from other states with SEC schools hurt the overall play of the conference?
Point being, no other school has had any real and sustained success since Saban got Alabama rolling again.

LSU should just give up football... Quit you bunch of pussies...

Once and for all. It is not Saban's fault LSU sucks. It is LSU's fault for hiring a loser.

Saban is good for Saban and Alabama.
Without going into a long dissertation of why a strong SEC is good for all the teams in the SEC, Frick the SEC.

Bear Bryant was great for the SEC. The problem is y'all, not us.

You Bama fans are out of touch. How many head coaches have been replaced since Saban went to Bama? This has nothing to do with just LSU making a shitty hire. This is EVERY SEC SCHOOL.

Then stop firing coaches that win 8-10 games a season and replacing them with defensive line coaches with 30% winning percentages cause they talk like you and have binders full of footbaw pictures.
There, you are welcome. I just solved your problem.

And again, that's on y'all, not us or Saban. These schools are chasing something unobtainable and make short sighted, ill-informed decisions based on emotion rather than logic. Saban has made the entire SEC quit. But that falls in the lap of every other athletic department in the conference who has allowed that to happen by making piss poor decisions.

Frick all the other schools. They can either find a guy to build a program similar to Saban or suffer.
I hate Dabo but he looks to be doing it his way and competing with Saban.
Sometimes there just aren't any answers for greatness. You just hunker down and hope you can sneak out a victory when Saban is eating an oatmeal cookie.

So, LSU fired the one coach in the SEC that was arguably competitive with CNS and it is "CNS' Fault"?

Guess who hasn't freaked out and overreacted to "not beating Saban"? Mississippi State. And they are currently well out-performing their historical trends and are on a more solid footing than they've been in the history of their program.
They didn't get pissed cause Mullen lost 8 straight to Alabama. They invested in him because they liked the way he ran the program. Because of that, after giving him time, they are 28-14 overall, 14-11 in the SEC over the last 4 years and have gone to 7 (soon to be 8) straight bowls. Instead of saying "BUT IT OUGHTA BE 20-5 AND WE SHOULDA WON THE WEST SOME AND BEAT BAMMER", they decided he was running a very good program and every 3-4 years they'd have very good teams capable of making a run.
They understand who they are and they are enjoying themselves. Take notes.

I guess you were saying this back when Saban was coaching LSU? Right?
& who cares. Saban works his butt off. The other schools should have stuck with their coaches and they should have worked a little harder.
This isn't on Saban, it's on the other schools taking the lazy way out, trying to find a better coach than Saban.
I feel as sorry for you LSU fans as y'all felt for Alabama fans back in the early 2000's. Back when you were beating us regularly and getting top recruits out of the state.

When we sign players from other states, especially nationally, it leaves a lot of good players in the south for other SEC teams to pick up that otherwise might have signed with BAMA, if we had any room left.

Question for you since Bama fans are delusional on this subject.
If Saban had of stayed at LSU and won say 4 NC, would you still have started this thread?
