They lost 5 to the NFL and they have a d that is between Missouri and Arkansas. This is not a normal LSU d.

I worry about our ability to score. I don't worry about our special teams and defense despite such a small sample size.

Probably not, but make no mistake about it...LSU'd defense is still full of 4 and 5 star players. They are not talentless. MSU beat a team that has a solid to very good defense and made them look bad. To take them lightly would be a mistake. IF we win Saturday, it will most likely be very close. I don't see a win of more than a field goal or so.....IF we win.

We CAN score. Should have scored a lot more on Notre Dame. We shot ourselves in the foot over and over again, and that is what we will have to worry about. Turnovers and penalties. The way Fromm tries to force passes into tight spaces makes me nervous, and our tendency to commit big penalties can kill drives. And we don't just commit 5 yard penalties, we commit 15 yarders. Our motto with penalties is "Go big, or go home."

If being the operative word. I don't think it will be close either way.

Well, any more nervous than Mr underthrow/overthrow?

I think we can hold them to 20-23, the thing is can we score 24+?..

Eason makes me nervous, too. Maybe I am just the nervous type?

It's possible. We should have hung 30+ on Notre Dame. two dropped TD passes, and one pass to Nauta in the end zone where he was held and it wasn't called. (I THINK we settled for a FG) We could easily have had 39 points. However, Miss. St. has an elite pass rusher in Simmons. If we can control him, we give Fromm a chance to get set, see the field and throw. If not, we will be in trouble.
I suspect we will see some runs directly at Mr. Simmons to try to slow him down a bit and give him something to think about.

I haven't been comfortable with a UGA QB since Murray was helped off the field vs Kentucky.

We are getting ready to find out.
If our Oline can effectively block, yes. If not, no.

This. LSU got out-coached plain and simple. Mullin is one of the best offensive minds in the business and they have a huge QB who is a legit threat in a spread/option offense. Their defense is also good and we will be hard pressed to run the ball on them unless we can establish some semblance of a passing game.

LSU bit on damn near everything... they didn't hold the edge and they let that little play action trick them every time. It's like they didn't watch film.
Also note that they banged up the MSU QB and a few lineman during the game.

I hope it wasn't the RT. I want him in the game. He is their weak link.

Not to mention LSU had 2 starters ejected for trumped up targeting calls. They got hammered by the zebras.

I'm hearing more excuses for LSU losing than for MS winning. Maybe they really are that good. Guess we will find out.
