Is always center front on camera.
Whoever is managing that is either on the crew or extremely dedicated fan.
Hats of to the Cougars!

I completely get what you are saying without any context at all.

Not always front on camera. They have a small group of alums that make sure it appears at every Gameday

I'm pretty sure they just coordinate well to have someone there, but I would imagine since it's been going on for so long that they get at least some type of preferential treatment. Even if they don't, their flag pole is so tall that they can be at the back and it will still be seen.

This is correct. I talked to a few of them at the AU game a few years back. Its a network of alums that set things up at the beginning of the year for each place that the game is "likely" to be. They have a main person and 5 backups for each situation
IF only our country was run so well.

It's an alumni thing born from a cougar fan forum about flying the flag at every gameday until they go to Pullman.
That was 2003. ESPN still hasn't made it. But the flag hasn't missed a game.
I think there are 2 flags they use, but they drive/ship them from place to place to keep streak alive.
It was a couple years ago that the flag got delayed somehow after leaving Tuscaloosa that ESPN made a backup plan to have a flag at the next stop for them. But, one of the 2 real flags made it.
It's become a pretty cool game day tradition

The folks in Pullman really want Gameday to visit them. They've been asking for years, the flag is ESPN's way of saying "We know it would mean a lot to y'all, but we're never, ever going there." ESPN has an SOP about this flag and everything; and it flies as a reminder that Gameday will visit Pullman when hell freezes over.

Sorry.
For those watching game day occasionally or for the first time, WSU flag is always there. This is regardless of site or teams at that site.

Alums of WSU ship that flag every week to GameDay location and get someone to fly it
