None of this is surprising.

Katie Dalmasso, 27, said she was an eighth grader at Briarcrest in 1999 when Freeze made her change shirts inside his office after he said her Grateful Dead T-shirt violated school dress code.
“Coach Freeze pulled me in his office and told me that my shirt represented drugs,’’ Dalmasso said. “I said, ‘I’ll go change in the bathroom,’ and when I said that he said, ‘No, you’re going to change in here so I get the (Grateful Dead) shirt and you can’t have it back.’
“He didn’t do anything sexual. But I stood in the corner and faced the wall when I did it and I changed out of my shirt. No privacy.’’
Apart from the obvious unfortunate privacy issue, that entire situation screams "dork."
The shirt represents drugs?
Someone with such limited coping skills ought not to be educating kids.
He's always struck me as a judgmental arse, but this anecdote confirms it.

They didn't cover the more controversial allegations.
I'm assuming because they're criminal.

The journalism it took to find those people is beyond pathetic. To write a story like that and to use those examples is why everyone doesn't trust reporters. The article wouldn't even pass the TMZ sniff test.

I wonder how this compares to Rush Propst's misdeeds.

I agree. It sounds like a bunch of whiny millennials who didn't like a coach because he made them abide by the rules. But, if there is something to the Briacrest "rumors" this would be the most troubling thing I see in the article:
quote:
The Freeze family, known for their charitable work, have become guardians for a local girl from Oxford, said attorney W.G. Watkins, who represents Freeze. But Watkins declined to provide more information about the guardianship, saying it was a private matter.
But, like I said, I'm not seeing it based on the stories presented in the article. The quote from the bartender is probably more telling than anything. Bartenders usually know what's up with the regulars.
quote:
But one of his bartenders recalled how Freeze dropped in from time to time. The bartender identified himself as Brett, and he identified Freeze as more than a coach, a Christian or a cheat. “He’s human,’’ the bartender said.

Making 8th grade girls change shirts in front of him so he can get a grateful dead t-shirt is not acceptable rules.

If he did that to my daughter, he would be lucky if he only got the Bobby Petrino beat down
