Well, that's kinda silly - to say you know you're right, about something you have limited knowledge of. What percent of the information contained in the universe do you and I know? A fraction of a fraction of a fraction of a percentage, maybe. And perhaps one of those religions is a part of the truth contained in that infinite universe you have no knowledge of.
The fact that we only know so little about the universe is EXACTLY how I know that RELIGIONS are bullshite. All of them have humans as the pinnacle of creation. Crunching numbers based on what little we do know of the universe says that that is a mathematical impossibility. There is a 99.9999999999999^999999999999999 chance that there is other advanced life out there. It is extremely likely that there are far far older and more advanced civilizations out there than our own.
Keep in mind here that I'm not denying the possibility of a creator/creators. I'm simply pointing out the fundamental flaws in human religions and the absurdity at the belief that (if there is a creator) humans could possibly understand what a being of that magnitude would want from us.

That's where I think you're wrong. You face legal consequences for posts like that if they're untrue and can be sued even if they are 100 percent true. Most people consider hearsay indirect/3rd party. IOW, the murderer told me she was beaten and that's why she did it OR the victim told me she was raped at 3.00 AM Sunday. But again, once it's permitted by the courts it's not hearsay. In this case, a public social media post can (and they have been in the past) treated the same as direct evidence/admissions.
Documents/the written word (even social media) is quite often admitted into evidence.

No, it's completely fact-dependent. And if these girls were on the stand at a trial and testified to the same extent they did in those facebook posts, then that would not be hearsay. Rather, it would be testimony of events to which the witness had first hand knowledge. Not hearsay. But using the term outside of a courtroom setting does not work. OP did not use the term correctly.

this thread has de-evolved from the shitty thread it started out being.

No I am not saying the same thing as you at all. Hearsay is a very technical rule. It has no application to anything other than certain statements offered in court to prove the truth of the matter asserted.

Bingo. Give this man a cookie (no sarcasm intended).

The more religious a person is, the more likely they are to be a piece of shite. See: mother teresa, westboro baptist church, ISIS, hugh freeze

That's not remotely true but whatever my guy...think what you will.

Why is comparing him to Cosby a stretch? They have both proven to be the worst kind of hypocrite. In your face about morality when they were out being shady as shite.
Only difference at this point is the magnitude of charges which seem to be piling up for freeze although I doubt he'll catch Cosby in the rape race.

I don't think being pious necessarily means someone is into nefarious doings.
I do believe that the more hard-core fundamentalist you are does though. Maybe hard core fundy in your face rather than a Buddhist monk or something like that.

Out of curiosity, what's the bad rep on mother Teresa? Seems odd to lump her in with the other arse holes listed.

Statistically, you're very likely to have picked the wrong god. I'd be deeply afraid if I were you.
Would you really like to get into the tenets of the Christian faith and why I fear nothing and no one? If you would, I am more than willing have a one on one discussion with you about it.

They don't want to debate...they believe nothing so let it be.
If you don't believe in god then how do you know there isn't a god?

Ok, well let's accept your broad characterization as true.
What about being the foundation for a host of elite universities? What about centuries of spreading western-style educational framework through missionary work? What about being a primary mover in manuscript culture?

Historical Record Keeping; Hiatorical records were kept long before religious doctrines were written down. Add that to the fact that religious historical records are generally complete fabrications, I'd say we could do just fine without it.
Oh, I see, you're not being a sarcastic contrarian, you're just outright stupid. Just to avoid any confusion on your part, I was clued in to your stupidity by:

Well hell yeah there's a creator. All of this didn't just come about. The key is who is the creator, and do you know him? Yiu don't think that the creator of the universe and everything in it, with us as his crown jewel of creation, doesn't want to know us on a personal basis? We humans have a spiritual side to us, we long to know what is going on and how this all came to pass, and thats what separates us from other creations. God sent himself in the form of man to let us see him and to know who he is and what we should be like. It is up to us to conform to that through belief or not. God had done all he can for us. He has sent his son to die for us because we couldnt be part of his family on our own. It's up to each one of us to accept him or not. So, hell yeah there's a creator, and there's only one. Jesus Christ is what it's all about and every knee will bow one day and respect him for who he is and always has been. Look at the world today. It's a spiritual battle going on all across the world. Make sure you know who you are and who created you. Praise the God of Arbraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The one and only. The alpha and omega, the beginning and the end. Amen.
