My guess is UF will need one of their true freshmen to start at corner

Damn that sucks. Achilles tear sounds awful.

Hope he gets well and comes back next year strong (just not against us). I effing hate preseason injuries and hell injuries in general.

sorry to hear hope he has a complete recovery

Unless people on the current roster make big jumps over last year, or one of the RS freshmen make a big impact, yes, one of the freshmen will have to start, and they will probably need at least 1 more to be good enough to be counted on in the two deep.
The big thing for UF is big plays. Someone has to be back there to prevent big plays. UF struggled with that last year and Harris wasn't going to help much with that. I actually think Gardner is a better cover guy on the back end, they just need someone else to be able to help in run support and I just don't think Nick Washington can do that.

Are they gonna try to reschedule the whole season now?

One of those situations where the kid will have a tough decision to make. Does he go for the 6th year or go for the draft. Achilles injuries take a long time to recover from...but they typically recover completely. Hope he has successful treatment and recovery.
Different injury, but C. LaCouture (LSU Dline) had the same situation last year. He decided to come back and will start for us this year.

Horrible news. Prayers for full recovery.

I always get a kick out of hearing this kid's name. Reminds me of another Chauncey Gardner.

I hate reading that. Feel bad for the guy. I hope he recovers fully and quickly.

Ouch, so sad. But opportunity time. Sucks as it may, someone's going to get a chance they'd never have otherwise. Maybe they'll find another Kamryn Pettway just waiting to play.

It surprises me how many players get injured when they aren't even in a scrimmage, let alone live action. I know it can happen, especially foot, ankle or knee injuries, but damn it seems like it happens a lot. Really sucks to see a player miss a whole season, especially a senior in his 5th year. He might be eligible for a 6th year exception from the NCAA, but it sucks for him either way.

Man, you ARE in trouble.

Offseason injuries definitely the worse, especially when it comes in non contact drills.
Don't wish it on anyone but it happens though.
You can't simulate tackle football, the only way to get ready is to get physical and every team will have injuries during fall camp for sure.
