Favorite Dipping Tobacco?

This guy would tell you Copenhagen if he still had his tongue

Copenhagen Extra Long Cut Natural is the only thing I dip/chew.

I started keeping score during Church league softball games as summer job, just to stay awake. Then working in CFB, MBB, and CBB just never could quit.

Disgusting

When I was in sixth grade I asked my Dad if I could chew tobacco.

He said, "Sure, let's go get you some."

We went to a convenience store and he bought a little green plastic can. I don't remember the brand.

He said, "Here, enjoy it."

He didn't include any instructions or cautions so I put a big wad in my mouth and began chewing. And swallowing.

Minutes later I became dizzy and extremely nauseated. I threw up violently and, after my stomach settled down, asked him why I got so sick.

He told me, "Your body rejected the tobacco. It doesn't want you to put tobacco in it."

Years later I asked him if I could drink alcohol. I'm sure you know what he did.

To this day I don't use tobacco or drink alcohol.

Similar for me... except my dad chewed (and he was a freaking dentist). I wanted to be like him, so I stuck a big a chaw of his tobacco in while at a family reunion when I was about 7 years old. Instead of telling me to spit it out, he went and got a camera to take a picture of what he knew would be hilarity. To this day in one of our photo albums:

Picture 1: Young Hogfly, proud as a peach standing there in Wrangler's and a camo t-shirt, hands on hips, cheek obscenely swollen with a generous plug of Red Man. Labeled "Hogfly's first chew."

Turn the page:

Picture 2: Young Hogfly, bent over, hands on knees with projectile vomit streaming from mouth.
Labeled "The results of Hogfly's first chew."

They'd probably get charged with child abuse for that in this day and age.

Unfortunately, both my brothers chewed as did my entire social circle... so I didn't learn my lesson, and I chewed all the way through high school, then smoked in college, then moved to Colorado and picked up chewing again to get off the cigs.

I eventually tapered off to only chewing during the summer (I work in education), then to going a couple of years without any at all. I actually did just purchase a can recently because a buddy was in town, and we were doing a bunch of mountain biking together, and he chews.

My chewing order went:
Hawken (in 6th grade)
Copenhagen (there was only one kind back then).
Cigs for 10 years
Skoal Straight Longcut

Grizzly's stuff is OK but it tastes too gross for me, and Skoal is training wheel dip. Also i haven't payed too many visits to Bobby Stoker so I don't really have an opinion on him.

Copenhagen wintergreen is not too bad but for me, it doesn't have the flavor like grizzly or kodiak. I usually dip either Grizzly or Kodiak. Stoker is not bad. It is not good as grizzly but its not bad for the price.

The assistant supervisor at the shop I work at tried the "grinds" alternative. It was the grinds mixed with cream, sugar, and honey but it wasn't the pouches. He let me try it and it was not awful. Tasted just like coffee but man it was messy.
