To Dishman, Auburn's new sophomore quarterback is a "taller Drew Brees." The Baylor transfer has the potential to be that good, Dishman said. Not just because of the arm strength.
"We used to sit in our defensive meeting room at Baylor and be like 'OK, we've got one right here. We've got something special at quarterback,'" Dishman said. "You knew he was going to a special-type player, so him being successful at Auburn doesn't surprise me at all."

Auburn could have a special year this year.

Why, does he have an annoying mole on his face?

No, but we all know how it ends, Arkansas not winning the SEC.

To be fair, no one in the SEC could score on our 2nd team D

Gonna have to second the Arkmart fan's comment here. I don't think he can be any worse than what we've had for the past 3 years, but come on.

Last time you guys hyped up a QB, he turned out to be shite. Maybe you should hold off on the hype until he actually plays a couple games.

Jarrett Stidham is an electrifying quarterback that can beat you with his arm and legs. Jarrett Stidham is ultra quick in the pocket and virtually impossible to stop in a one on one situation. Jarrett Stidham is the type of quarterback that can put so much pressure on a defense because of his ability to make a play outside of the pocket. Jarrett Stidham is also a good passer that shows all the throws. Jarrett Stidham is a "Drew Brees" type of signal caller and very exciting to watch.

Quick question. Did this guy actually start for Baylor?

Just like Kiehl Frazier broke all of Cam Newton's records.

I wish the Stidham train would slow down a bit personally. Objectively speaking the Oline will be an issue next season and all the talent in the world at QB can go down the drain if you can't protect him.
That being said...the hype train surrounding past QB's like Frazier and Johnson in my mind is also different. Frazier almost from his first Wildcat snap looked like a deer in headlights to me. I was never high on him. Johnson did somethings well, but I also expected him to struggle at first but never saw the tank job coming. To his credit he stuck it out and worked hard with little results. Johnson besides the mental issues, suffered from an average to slightly below average oline.
Stidham does some things really well. He throws the ball as well as anyone we have had on campus in some time. He also looks mobile enough to hurt you with his legs. His size is a concern, but he isn't small either. If the oline can give him time I suspect he'll give D's a headache this year. Auburn doesn't have a true OT on the team who appears ready to play in a league chalk with NFL DE. So those that hate Auburn hang your hat on that.
