Is that an old list? It has last years stats for Barnhill, there is no way she would be anywhere out of the top 5 with her numbers this year.
As the UF ace:
0.30 ERA
21-1 record
263 strikeouts to 26 walks

This years list but used previous years stats in doing the background info.

If that list is a current list and not a preseason list, it is total crap. The most dominating player in the nation is Kelly Barnhill right now, and the list has two other Florida pitchers ahead of her. It also contains 3 players from Florida State, which has an even or losing record against everyone they have played in the top 25. A team with that kind of record doesn't have 3 top 25 players on its roster.

Pretty bad to release a list like this in 2017 almost all the way through the season using last year's numbers. But, it's ESPNW.

Not much difference between W and I or II
They still pimp the ACC and are behind the curve on SEC stuff.

Man the ACC has you on auto-rustle. If North Korea nuked the USA you would find a way to blame the ACC.

ESPN has truly awful coverage in all the non revenue sports i dont even know why they try. same goes for recruiting. that should of been their first budget cuts

Where are the pics of the softball players listed?
List is shite without pics.

There is no better person to end our countdown with than the reigning espnW player of the year. Despite playing until the season's final day a year ago -- thus facing a full postseason's worth of elite pitching en route to the championship series against Oklahoma -- Cooper ranked fifth in the nation in on-base percentage and eighth in slugging percentage a season ago. She's the only returning player in a major conference who finished in the top 35 in both categories. She's no less special in the field, either for Auburn or as a member of Team USA.
I think it's preseason rankings, hence the title "softball preview".

the broadcasts are great, was talking about the journalism side of those sports as well as the analysts that put out the recruiting/player rankings like in the OP. they cant compete with all the other independent sites and IMO it makes them look bad for even trying.

Nope, I would blame the B1G as they are across the Ohio Ocean and you know, NORTH.
Probably would be more like India nuked the USA for the ACC comparison, and that seems pretty remote as at a base level we are more similar than different (well except the Line Beards).
