Fromm vs Eason

I'll stir the pot. Less competition but significantly more impressive. The poise screams Murray...I don't care that Eason had a half dozen plays unique to him. Fromm won, Fromm handled it better and Fromm had "lesser tools".
How long is the leash boys? Easons int was bad

Give me a break, Fromm isn't starting over Eason unless Eason is just a disaster. Nobody wants to start over with another true freshman, and a scrimmage against a second team defense amounts to nothing at this point. Everyone was raving about Eason too after last year's G Day.

3 posts in 4 years.
I don't remember Murray just throwing the ball up for grabs under pressure. Simmons TD would have been picked by West Georgia.
Eason played a top 10 D with a bottom 10 OL. When he was given the time he made throws that Fromm can't.
And I'm not knocking Fromm but it was a Spring Game. Chill out.

Fromm will be the starter by the Notre Dame game. Eason is garbage. He barely beat Lambert out for the job last year. Fromm is already the QB we need and deserve and he will lead us to a national championship as a true freshman.
am I doing this right?

Quick on the trigger gentlemen. I had to make a new account haha my old one the email was tied to a university which after graduation disappeared so I could never alter it. Am I an "avid daily poster" no, but to say I'm not knowledgeable is worth a chuckle.
Again it is a spring game, I get that which is why I prefaced stirring the pot. I just wanted to see something that wasn't there. Does that mean he's not the guy? No but he did nothing to instill confidence in me.
I tip my cap to Fromm, he debuted well. Does that make him our starting quarterback, no, but I think if that's his offering, Jacobs leash is shorter

Eason is not where he needs to be yet...and where he can be. But the elite arm is there...as well as all the other measurables. He got thrown into the SEC as a true freshman...with a mediocre offensive line.
But even though he's still developing, Fromm isn't going to be any more than an understudy this season. He's got a bright future too...but it's not this season...unless something bad happens to Eason.

Nobody gave a shite about Chubb and Michel until Gurley and Marshall got hurt.
Then they became the future.

Fromm's got the natural QB maturity leadership thing in spades. Eason doesn't. SUcks we'll only get one season out of Fromm probably.

We'll probably get 4- 5 years from Fromm.
Assuming JE doesn't get hurt and Jake is able to red shirt.
He is not a first round draft choice, and I don't think he's a NFL QB. but he will be a great UGA QB starting in 2019

Better pray Eason doesn't get hurt. You don't want Fromm starting this season.

Fromm played better than Eason but it was a spring game at the end of the day. It will be a positive to have a solid back up. I hope Eason gets his stuff together.

Calling it now, Eason struggles early against ND and Fromm comes in to save the day, and the dawgs go on to win seccg and natty

Fromm had a better game and looks like he knew where he wanted to go with the ball - and got rid of it quicker. Maybe the D wasn't as good but you have to feel good about it. He's a player.
Eason still looks like he doesn't know where to go and throws late. I hope he gets his shite together. He still made some good throws though.
We do have tons of talent on the field. The coaches need to take advantage of it. We also have some serious freshman coming in that aren't even enrolled yet. Next year will depend on the OL and Eason's play but man...the future is looking good if we win enough next season to keep the heat off.

Fromm had a better game, and I think he's a better person/player than Eason.
That said, I'm 100% confident in Eason's abilities and hope he starts this Fall.

Obviously we can judge everything we need to know about the future from our scrimmage of vanilla offenses

I think Fromm is a 1st round draft pick... someone save this post.

You have to understand the message board groupthink. Jacob Eason was a 5 star recruit. He's the chosen one who will deliver Kirby's first national championship; to admit that he's simply not living up to the hype, that he's making no progress, is to admit the possibility of failure. Failure of UGA football, Kirby Smart, the collective wisdom of message board experts, even you as a Georgia fan and a person.
Today wasn't the issue; last season was the issue and Eason never improved. But nothing you see on the field matters, until everyone here can arrive at a plausible excuse for why they weren't wrong. Then, and only then, it'll be okay to say that Jacob Eason is not showing the characteristics of an elite quarterback. Then you can repost this and be accepted.

I seem to remember a true freshman Chubb coming into the opening Clemson game in 2014, being the 4th stringer behind Gurley, Marshall, and Michel and running all over folks. He made a name for himself that day on very few carries. Eason has the frame and arm to build and make a great QB but if you watched the same spring game I watched, he appears to be very uncomfortable and inconsistent in the pocket. Fromm won today and the future for UGA looks quite promising. If Eason starts off as shaky as he did today, I like our chances with him.

Fromm played against our second team D. Eason played against our first team D, without Chubb and Michel really playing. The first team, o-line still looks shaky and chigbu and Stanley are still dropping the ball. Eason did hold on to the ball too long but receivers were not open and we ran an extremely vanilla offense. Fromm was throwing against walkon corners. I will reserve judgement until 9/2 on our offense. We should have a top 10 d nationally next year so I'm not ready to give up on Eason yet. He was much better in the 2nd half today.
