Short enough to where the buyout will come into play

I'll go with 5 years. he has too many great pieces in place to tank. when aranda and canada eventually leave is when you should start placing your bets

I'd guess about a year or two after the current tandem of coordinators is broken up by one of them leaving for another job, probably a head coaching job. I figure we have two more years of both of these guys being on staff, so another year or two after that would be 3-4 years, so I'll guess four. If we do keep them both longer than two years, then extend it by however much longer they stay.

Most likely 4.
To get anymore, he'll need a trip to Atlanta.

5 years
- Solid first couple years (10-2) lead to Aranda leaving. Canada is either very good and leaves or doesn't live up to hype and sticks around.
- Followup hires aren't as good, LSU goes to 8-4/9-3 type seasons and fans grow restless
Eaux is either fired or resigns with a record of 46-19 (71%) & (26-14) (65%) in the SEC.

If he has a record of 46-19 after 5 years I'd say he surpassed the expectations of most people.

Agree, but I think they are realistic expectations.
10-3 (6-2), #10
11-2 (6-2), #6
9-4 (5-3), #19
8-5 (5-3), #24
8-5 (4-4), UR
That seems pretty feasible to me. And back to back 8-5 seasons with 3-4 SEC losses leading to a firing seems completely feasible.

One year. After MsState beats LSU in september the cajuns will hire Dan the Scientologist Mullen.

There is no way O would be runoff in 2 years. His buyout at that point would be 6 million.

Yea, he has to be given at least 3 years. If they sputter the next 2 years then Aranda leaves and the replacement is meh then year 3 will be it.
I can't see anything short of that, though, unless somehow the wheels just totally fall off.

The norm, 4 games into any season.
