Re negotiation of the contract
Because UT carries more of the state and market there is more demand so ESPN can get the local cable and satellite companies to pay higher fees
Even through the SEC network is in Texas there is not the amount of demand for it by people who purchase these cable and satellite packages
If UT was in the SEC you could control the entire state

You've beaten your point to a bloody pulp.
Everyone here likely gets it: You hold man-passionate feels for the horns.
That fact doesn't negate the impossibility of UTex receiving an SEC offer within the next 100 years or so.

That's about like saying the Big East had Dallas covered when it had SMU instead of Texas or Oklahoma. I guess that was technically true.
It's like saying Texas is covered because the cable providers pay the same rate for the entire state just like all other SEC states.

The last time Arkansas was relevant in football was as a member of the Southwest Conference, except for the Bobby Petrino blip.
That's going on 25 years. Was cutting off the Texas recruiting pipeline worth it? The same question can be posed to Nebraska and Missouri.
Why did you ignore my other post?

So the University of Houston or UT-El Paso would've served the same purpose? haha LOL.

So if you're using that gif for 'wrong' should I correct that to 'right'? Cuz if the Pres. is saying one thing the opposite is almost certainly true.

You don't understand the SEC
They want #1 or #2 but not both. They already have TAMU and that is enough to get the SEC west (Alabama) in TX. In the 90's they got SC when the Taters said no and they built up their market share. Cocks are now competitive so Taters are locked out in the future.
The other issue is harmony amongst the conference. AD's and presidents move in unison when they move. If Texas has just a no vote or two they might have a chance but if they have 3 or more it is not real probable to happen. Remember Florida (UF's president) and Kentucky (CKY is full of Texans) were the strong backers of TAMU to join. If TAMU says no, and UF and UK go along, Texas will not be in the SEC.

Since Texass has ignored returning to Fayetteville, I decided to give you the same treatment.

And that's all this was about, finding a willing patsy to open the door for Alabama and LSU to recruit.
Even "super Ag" Gene Stallings admitted as much.

When one party (Arkansas) cancels a contract with Texas, you do not get to dictate the terms of renewal.
Same with aggy. They willingly left the conference and the schedule. They wanted to have their cake and eat it, too. Doesn't work that way, son.

The University of Houston was considered an SEC expansion target about the same time your grandpa was being hazed in the corps dormitory.

Coming from the place that wanted to blackball us and watch us die and now, since that hasn't happened, is starting to put pressure on us to start playing again

We dictate what we want to. Which is why Arkansas played Texas basketball in Houston this season. Because we wanted to.
Before long, SEC teams are going to be paying Texas Sun Belt money to fill holes in the schedule for a rent a win. Beating TCU, Houston, Texas Tech, SMU in sports carries more clout these days than beating Texass.
