I'm from Lancaster, and the pronunciation is key.
Third gen Gamecock. '56, '80, '07 for me.
Live in Columbia, but Charleston takes the cake. Boat ride on the ICW, drinks at Tav and Table, dinner downtown at Hall's. I'll take that all day.

We have owned two weeks at a Marriott Timeshare on Hilton Head, SC, Sunset Pointe in Shelter Harbor, since 1991. During our first 20 years of owning, traded through Interval International most of the time, and only occupied our home unit maybe 4 times. For last six years have exclusively spent two weeks on HH. We love it. Two weeks give us plenty of time for side trips to Savannah and Charleston, or just relaxing the whole time on HH.We can occupy one unit for two weeks or take two units for one week, if we want to invite a crowd.
So SC is our second home, since we have to pay real estate taxes in two states.

Was stationed in Charleston. It was REALLY hot and humid. Moreso than I expected. Water was warm enough to where you can go swimming in the dead of winter. All in all, I loved it, with the exception of the nasty smelling paper mill, cockroaches, and terrible drivers.

Went to the 2010 game. A few things stick out to me about that trip:
Stayed in RV park. That was a fun time. Lots of alcohol consumption.
It was fricking miserably hot outside that day. Pretty sure kickoff temperature was about 96. It felt like watching a game on the sun.
It rained at halftime and then stopped raining before the 3rd quarter started. Combined with the heat, it was just terrible.
frick you Washaun Ealey for that fumble on the goal line.
A few SC fans invited me to do a keg stand in the parking lot on my way into the stadium.
Marcus Lattimore was a beast that day.

I wanna see how non-natives pronounce them. Native South Carolinians know how.

I almost fainted from the heat in the upper deck when I was there. We had a lightning storm stop play after the sun mercifully went down.

If it hadn't been for AU buying Cam Newton and Garcia buying hookers, blow and alcohol the night before the game, we should have won. We were fricking stacked that year.

My husband's mother was born and raised in Savannah.
While we do run into some some folks from the North, while visiting HH, our experience with people we meet is that they are mostly from SEC states.
