Furman is decent small school campus but it feels more like a governors school for the arts than a college. there is also no college town area next to campus.
I would say Clemson is the best one in SC and it even has a beach on the adjacent lake.

As much as you speak about this lake I know I will be disappointed once I see it because according to it is like heaven on Earth
