As far as any concrete proof goes, they were the only ones who were definitively caught offering money to Cam Newton. Yet somehow the NCAA never made its way over to Starkville for that...

Now we know that Leo Lewis was given $15,000 by Ole Miss, and there is supposedly a tape recording of his mother spelling out what it would take to sign her kid in which she details what other schools were offering. Then he goes and signs with State.

Why is Mississippi State constantly allowed to offer money to kids with no repercussions?

Because they don't win big enough to matter. If they had beaten Bama like OM had they would be more of a target.

Well they are the last school to be punished in the league by the NCAA for paying recruits, but it was a quiet year long investigation, not a leak filled 5 year colonoscopy

Understandable that Georgia would go after MSU since they are pretty much the Ole Miss of the East.

They still sucked after all that. At least Ole Miss beat Bama after selling their soul.

MSU didn't offer money to Newton.

They were asked, their boosters tried, and they failed to come up with the money.

Which, arguably, is worse.

Being located in Starkville is basically like already having the death penalty. Any further punishment would be cruel and unusual.
