I saw Tyrus Thomas grab an alley oop at the top right corner of the backboard, falling out of bounds, and somehow slam in it down, and duck his head to avoid hitting the glass.
Dude could REACH for the dunks. Fun as shite to watch.

Also, any LSU fan that says anything other then Shaq... I need to get your number because I need to buy a QP of whatever you're smokin.
Shaq is the greatest POWER dunker in the history of basketball. Theres been times when I thought he had seriously injured some of the guys he dunked on... turned out they were just laying on the court with their head covered in shame.
'Nique probably takes the title for best over all dunker in history, but I would say only because MJ evolved his game beyond the dunk and became the ALL AROUND greatest player in history. If Jordan had never elevated his game and had just stayed the dunking machine that he was his first 5-6 years in the NBA then by the end of his career it would have been him.
And yes, MJ was more than just a dunk machine when he came into the league but dunking was what he was known for at the time more than anything. Had to get that out there before someone blows an o-ring telling me how all around talented he was even then.... It's Michael fricking Jordan... we fricking know dude. lol

The 99 Auburn team was just dunk city. That team was so much fun to watch. Still the best AU basketball uniforms. Really wish we'd bring them back.

This.
I saw his first SEC game. He hits a 17 footer from the left wing on the first trip down. On the second trip down, he catches the ball, and the defender closes hard on him this time. Dominique blows past him and dunks the ball so hard that it bounces off of the floor and hits the backboard on the way up.
I grabbed a score sheet to see who it was. It was obvious in 30 seconds of basketball that he was going to be someone special.

I LOVED watching Porter play at Auburn. I hold my team hatreds in football but when it comes to basketball I just love the game too much to bother with hating a rival. I want to beat them of course but I just love the game.
When porter was at AU, I watched them play damn near every time they were on tv just to watch him. Such an exciting player to watch. Such a shame he couldnt straighten his act up. Would have been a fantastic player in the league. Hell I think he is still playing ball in foreign leagues. Last I heard he was in Australia or New Zealand or some shite like that.

Holy shite I had forgotten about Mamadou. I had so much fun watching AU basketball that year. I was working with a guy that was a huge AU fan so we would watch a lot of games together.

I went to a ton of games that year. It just wasn't fair. You had Daymeon Fishback, Doc Robinson, Chris Porter, Bryant Smith, and Mamadou N'Diaye just running up and down the court dunking and throwing alley-oops left and right.
Then, when you're tired as shite, Scotty Pohlman runs his white arse off of a couple of back screens then just starts draining 3's.

What's crazy is there are high school kids doing these kind of dunks and even harder ones. Crazy how athletic kids are today

In recent history I have to give props to Jarell Martin.
