Think:
Magilla
Chattabama
BlackPawn
Crimson Boz
Phaz
& maybe Bama3714 if he is so inclined

Should share the Saints burden. This thread would rock.

Per SEC Country, as of now, UGA is ahead for Cooper, we have some catching up to do on his OV.
FWIW I'd be surprised if we took another NT type in this class, wouldn't be surprised at all to see y'all flip him.

I'd imagine the window is open now or very soon.

They announced a 2 year bowl ban, which means players can transfer with no penalty...

Jordan Ta'amu, a Hawaiian QB who has actually proven himself in the SEC.

I would take Breeland Speaks or DeMarkus Lodge. AJ Brown would have to get a waiver

QB Mathew Baldwin has gotten 6 crystal balls to Ohio St, they are already taking a backup plan for Emory Jones.

I think "insiders" have overlooked this caveat.

Magilla, you think Breeland Speeks is a possibility or does he just declare for the draft?

Bobby Brown's mother goes in-depth on Saban's in-home visit

Alabama head coach Nick Saban and outside linebackers coach Tosh Lupoi stopped off in Arlington, Texas on Wednesday night to see one of their top defensive targets in four-star defensive tackle and Texas A&M commit Bobby — Tre is the name he prefers to goes by — Brown.
“It was great, we had a lot of fun,” Brown’s mother Erica Kelly tells BamaOnLine. “It’s always fun when we’re around coach (Nick) Saban and coach Tosh (Lupoi).”
Kelly has been around Saban and Lupoi in the past, but having the Tide head coach in her home was a different kind of experience.
“This is going to sound … I don’t know, but I almost feel like (it’s having) somebody spiritual, like Jesus, over” Kelly said laughing. “I’m like ‘Hello. How are you?’ trying to be cool. I don’t want to freak him out. It was awesome.”
Despite Brown’s commitment to the Aggies, the Lamar High School product has continued listening to other programs, specifically Alabama.
“Nothing has changed,” Kelly said. “The thing of it is, is when Tre committed he said he was keeping his recruiting process open to let people know they don’t have to stop recruiting him. Anything can change.”
Last weekend Texas A&M fired head coach Kevin Sumlin, but that’s not something Saban and company have really addressed with Brown.
“One thing I can say about coach Saban, coach Tosh, and coach (Karl) Dunbar, they don’t really talk about other schools,” Kelly said. “They just sell their product, so to speak. The thing of it is, when you have a good product, you don’t have to downplay other people’s product.
“Coach Saban reminds me of Tre. It’s funny. He’s very reserved, but he’ll crack a joke here and there. I can’t really explain it. He had me dying laughing. I’m laughing thinking about it. I love that man. I really do. And in the same breath, I love coach Sumlin, I hate that he’s gone. It was a horrible loss for their university despite what people may think. I love coach Price (too). I can only imagine what my son is feeling right now.”
A big factor for Brown in his original decision to commit to A&M was the proximity to home. However, Kelly is willing to travel.
“The thing of it is, their school (Alabama) was far away. But, you know, all I’m going to say is I’ll go anywhere my son goes,” Kelly said. “I’ll go wherever he wants to play football and pursue his education.”
At 6-foot-4, 282 pounds, Brown is rated the No. 14 defensive tackle and the No. 152 overall player in the country, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite. Kelly says, however, that her son prefers to be classified as a defensive end as opposed to tackle.
Brown has one remaining official visit, which he may use on Texas. He took his official visit to Alabama for the Tennessee game.

Most waivers in these scenarios get cleared immediately.

Saban was at Pinson this morning. Would he waste his time taking a run at Bo Nix?

Here is who Alabama is expecting on campus this weekend:

Brenton Cox, 5-star DE, Stockbridge (Ga.) — committed to Ohio State

I reported the week of the Mercer game that Alabama was trying to get a “secret visitor” on campus for an official visit. That secret visitor was Brenton Cox. It didn’t work out for the Tide that weekend. He decided to visit Georgia instead.

It wasn’t that big of a deal because Cox visited Tuscaloosa in October for the Arkansas game. At that time sources close to the Alabama program told SEC Country that they believed the Tide had a chance to flip Cox from Ohio State.

Cox hasn’t visited Ohio State this fall. He’ll visit Columbus for the first time since the summer next weekend for an official visit. He’ll then take an official visit to Georgia the following weekend.

The Tide have continued to have lots of contact with Cox since his commitment to the Buckeyes. He has been receptive to the Tide’s message of not having a deep talent pool at Jack linebacker currently on the roster.

The Army All-American is an early enrollee so his recruitment will be wrapped up by Dec. 22, which is the last day of the early signing period. The Tide will likely know where they stand with Cox after this weekend.
