There are five teams who statistically still have a shot at claiming or sharing the regular season title this year in basketball. Realistically, I think only 4 teams are still in the running. I think Alabama is about lose a few games coming up. They are listed below with their remaining league games in parenthesis. Discuss....
1. Kentucky 8-1 (@ FL, LSU, @AL, TN, @GA, @MIZ, FL, Vandy, @aTm)
2. South Carolina 8-1 (GA, AL, @State, Ark, @Vandy, @FL, TN, State, @Miss)
3. Florida 7-2 (UK, @GA, aTm, @AU, @State, SCar, @UK, Ark, @Vandy)
4. Arkansas 6-3 (@MIZ, Vandy, @LSU, @SCar, Miss, aTm, @AU, @FL, GA)
5. Alabama 6-3 (AU, @SCar, UK, @MIZ, LSU, GA, @aTm, Miss, @TN)

2-4 can definitely end up in any order.

I post this because UK hasn't played great the last week or two. They still have two games with Florida and have some tough road games still ahead.
Them losing 2 more games wouldn't be surprising, but a team with 3 losses cannot lose anymore, maybe one at most.
Should be an interesting end to the conference season atop the standings.

We've got at least one more turd of a game to have before the season is over- and that's being positive. I love us, think we have potential but I can't imagine us winning the conference. Plus, I'd trade 1st in conference for a sweet 16 all day.
Edit: Given more thought I'd trade 1st for just winning one game in the big dance.

What the frick
Kentucky's SEC schedule was/is ridiculously easy this year.
They played South Carolina and Arkansas at home. They don't have to go to their place and played all the shitty teams twice.

I don't know if I would call Florida shitty

I know Tennessee gets zero credit here, but we aren't too bad of a team either.

Nah, you guys are good too

Yea, Tennessee and Florida are the only good teams they play twice from the SEC.

Could do it. I had UK with three losses in SEC for my preseason prediction. Not sure it USCe loses 3. UK has four games that could go in the L column. I could see themgoing 2-2 in those games (@UF, @Ala, @UGA, and UF)

If we can just split with UK and then beat USC at home.

Kentucky most likely, but I like our schedule. Tough teams we play at home (except UF) and winnable away games. Only surefire loss likely is @ UF. If Kentucky can get beat by UF and UGA away, we have a legit shot

The game tomorrow at Florida for UK will be very interesting. UF has played with extra energy when they've been home. The game there for USC later on will be certainly a tough one for us....
