Just an FYI, but Steve Wiltfong on 24/7 just Crystal Balled Justin Fields to the good guys!

Isn't he the guy who CB'd Isiah Wilson to us last year when everyone else said he was heading to Michigan?
He also put one in for Salyer

I think so. He is a national analysts that doesn't put his CB's in lightly, that's for sure.

Negative squirrel.
LINK
Alex Gleitman (who? Ohio State reporter it would seem - but a top rated Rutgers recruiting CB'er) and Keef Neeeeburr (Auburn recruitnik).

Wiltfong was over 88% though on his CBs last year on 371 total picks. He's currently over 90% based on current commitments in the 2018 class. Definitely not a CB to take lightly.

Got another CB for Fields. Are we buying the rumor he commits tomorrow?

No but if were not expecting then that will make it even more sweeter when he commits

Apparently, we are buying into that... LINK
Now we have to give RS on the Barn board some credit as he called the right date.

Holy shite... Justin Field about to either turn this bitch up or smother it with a wet blanket...
Have to think that without taking another visit to Tallahassee, we've got the highest probability here.
These quotes were pretty good from the article:
Good on ya DawgNation... make him feel wanted... needed even. Now just don't go overboard once he commits...
Would be awfully weird for this to be any of the other 4 given the discrepancy in visits.

"We can't go anywhere," Fields' father Pablo told FOX 5. "They're asking for pictures and autographs, but it comes with the territory...be careful what you wish for."

quote:
"You want your kids together if possible, " said Fields. "But, you want the best for them. We do more and more research it keeps coming back to the same place...something kept pointing back to this school and it's the best fit. I think he'll be content in his decision."

BTW, here is the working version of my 2018 Recruiting Worksheet...
LINK
Looks at returning players in 2018 and potential losses due to attrition or early draft entry to give total scholarship athletes (and therefore space in the class).
With zero extra attrition, it looks like about 18 spots will definitely open up. With maximum "realistic" attrition (trying to predict likely total of transfers + draft losses), I'm showing 28 spots - though I think we cap out at 24 signees this year due to Marvin's blueshirt. Only thing I'm really uncertain on is what does Wyatt's status count as. He's classified as a 2018 recruit now, but if he early enrolls, it would seem he'd be easy to backcount as someone who was *already* an initial counter in 2017? Kinda funky there... otherwise, depending on what the draft takes from us, it doesn't seem like a lot of forced attrition will be needed this offseason.
