I stand by my statement early that Dabo is the hottest topic for Bammers. Clemson beat Alabama which is great.
The loss to Dabo didn't sting as much as if were another team, because it clarified things for the future at Bama. That win proved that Dabo may just have what it takes to compete at a level somewhat close to Saban's.
Personally, I'd like to see Dabo tone it down a notch or two and mature a little more over the next couple of years. But I do think that any doubts we had about his coaching abilities were answered when he hoisted that golden vagina trophy.

Personally I think he has put together his own kingdom and has become the all time eternal king at Clemson and will end up staying there.
I think he thinks the rest of the country believes it is his assistant coaches that have created that kingdom. His ego will not allow him to turn Bama down, plus he will try to prove he can do it at Bama.

I really don't mind Dabo unlike some Auburn fans. I think the man earned it. He has put together one hell of a program and has my respect.
I was thrilled over their victory vs Bama.

What is Dabo know for coaching ? I know he coached WR at one time, but he was never an OC. I think his assistance over the years are better know.

A gump now claiming Dabo is a Bama surrogate. Probably will now claim another national title

That's not even close to the purpose of this thread. Try again.

Incredible. Dabo wins a national title and is leading one of two programs with six consecutive 10-win seasons and we're talking about how much he can't coach and doesn't know shite.

Knows enough to hire Chad Morris, Brent Venables and Jeff Scott. Other than that, I do not know what he is known for. Was he the OC or DC at Clemson at any point ? Did he call plays ?

Just looking at how his program has evolved over the last few years, he looks like his system for fielding winning team on a consistent basis works pretty good.

Could be because he had two great qbs back to back. Didn't Gus Malzahn look like a super genius when he had a generational qb too?

Looked pretty good with a converted DB also.

It was like if your extremely hot cousin kissed you. You enjoyed it while it was going on............but felt like you needed a shower immediately afterwards.

So what exactly does he do that makes him so valuable?

He is not a great coach, but is smart enough to hire good coaches and leave them alone.
Dabo isn't a strategic mastermind but that isn't the only requirement for determining a "great coach". Many say that Saban isn't a great in-game coach but he will go down as one of the best head coaches of all time.

How does that change the fact he built a program and hired the right assistants to make that happen?
Sometimes people need to set aside biases and recognize the accomplishments of a man that built the program up to where it is today.
Dabo has some annoying ways about him, but the man has done a hell of a job at Clemson. I would absolutely love to have a coach like him at Auburn.

Don't really mind Dabo, but I can't stand Clemson now because my ex-girlfriend was a Clemson fan

how poor of a in-game coach Dabo actually is
I thought it was the SEC Rant narrative that he completely out-coached Saban 2 years in a row and that Saban just got lucky last year.

Being fair Dabo isn't the same Dabo from a few years ago when Auburn fans took a disliking to him. He is maturing. He also owes Auburn for his success. After all in 2010 when we beat them the light bulb went off in his head that great coaching is closely connected to great QB play.

You knew that the Defense was Saban's at every stop he has made. I can not figure out where Dabo's specialty is with his Clemson Teams.
