Florida will finish pretty strong this year and likely lands 8-11 more recruits, all 4* or higher. So let's revisit after NSD.

If UF does land that many 4* or higher recruits, wouldn't that give them a top 5 class?

Probably 1/3 of those guys go to IMG and aren't really from Florida.

This plus Chirs Weinke was running the show there. UFs been fighting a huge uphill battle to get recruits from there.

Jim McElwain is a shitty recruiter and it will probably get him fired by the end of 2018. That's really all there is to it, hopefully Locksley and Cristobal help.

This again? Miami doesn't have a fanbase, nor a stadium on campus.

No other P5 school in the country has more prospects within a hour drive of the campus.Miami metro spits out more high quality D1 prospects than any other metro
area including Atlanta,Houston,LA or Dallas. You also have the Tampa
area within a 3 1/2 drive.

Yea,the U does have some facility and fan issues but it also has a brand and a history
of NC's.They should be pulling top 10 classes by accident

They still put a lot of players in NFL even with tne performance the last 10 years

Mac can't recruit for shite. That goes for players or staff. In fact he's a bad coach too.

Don't get it twisted. It's not like Weinke steered them to FSU because Francois is the only player that they signed when he was there.

I didn't get the Weinke comment either. He didn't help FSU at all while he was there.

Why is that a laugh? Georgia is a top 4 state for recruits

Not sure what he is laughing about. I know Auburn, Tennessee and Florida coaches are not laughing at their general inability to recruit our state this cycle. If Kirby wins the state will be on lockdown while we cherry pick guys like Swift and Wilson.

Top 5? More like should never be out of the top 10. I feel the same way about LSU.

I'm still hoping we get a list of said 8+ 4-5* that UF will sign on NSD. Would be the greatest signing day haul ever, I imagine.

Great is what we are seeing this year. Richt always recruited a level or two below that. His 2013 class was a disasterz Never recruited OL well, and Wr and db recruiting sorely lacked towards the end of his tenure.

It will be interesting to see how he (Richt) does there. I think he will get the best of UF as long as CJM is there. Opinions of CMR are all over the place when it comes to recruiting but IMHO a good DC and OL coach (recruiting wise) will help him immensely.
