Yup. And to the other comment about the foundation Dooley built. So much misplaced hatred for the guy. What Dooley inherited was way worse than Jones.
In a nut shell...Dooley walked in right after the roof got blown off, and all the crap Hamilton kept contained came spilling out. Dooley walked in when the the whole AD as a whole was an in shambles. Jones walked in with the Football team no longer on sanctions, players who weren't on their 3rd coach, etc. Dooley never really got to be only a Head Coach.
Anyone that thinks that Dooley wasn't the best option at the time he was hired has no clue or memory of what was going on at UT. Lawyer, AD, HC, and son of a hall of fame SEC coach...hired when the NCAA was as close to looking for office space in knoxville as they could be after kiffin left. No brainer. UT needed more than just a football coach. Jones would have pooped his pantz walking into what Dooley did. What was another name Dooley haters wanted?? Sumlin. He would have been lost too.

Jones' marginal success is attributable to the foundation laid by Dooley. Derek got absolutely shafted by the admins at UT.
Good one

Wait, isn't he the coach that was in Tiger Stadium for this...?

$102,049 per month to GTFO....wow if you can get it.

This is one of my favorite pics of Vanderbilt football. It's also fitting that Dooley's buyout finishes just after Butch joins him in the "gave up 40+ to Vanderbilt" club.

Frees room for the inevitable Botch buyout..

Ed Orgeron

I wanted Herman, but, just watch, Ed O is gonna win games, just like 28-21/0-3 Bowl Gm pre-LSU record Les Miles eventually did. LSU helped make Saban(granted Nick had shown a great season at Toldeo and MSU) and Miles into rock stars..maybe even Ogre too? Nick and Miles were o-fer lifetime via routs in bowl games until at LSU. A really smart suit can sometimes help make the man!

Orgeron will receive a 5-year contract worth somewhere between $3-4 million per year, The Advocate's Scott Rabalais reported. It's unclear if there will be a buyout tied to Orgeron's contract.

Who's going to win that one, the state of Louisiana's lawyers, or Big O's lawyers?
