For the most part, Gulf Coast’s signees had already made their decisions public. Only receiver Brandon Martin, who signed with LSU out of high school and later briefly committed to Auburn, remained uncommitted. The 6-foot-4 receiver opted to wait and sign Thursday with his family at home in Monroe, Louisiana. He told the Sun Herald he’ll sign with Arkansas over finalists LSU, Auburn and Mississippi State.
“I felt like it was the best fit,” Martin said. “It’s official now; I’m just going to sign tomorrow.”

Very odd recruitment. Always felt like he wanted that LSU offer then he got it and nothing happened. I think he has the potential to be a stud for yall next season. Good pickup

Great pick up. Wish we had offered

Non-committable at this time because LSU is after other WR's

They definitely offered
Now it's very possible they wouldn't take his commitment but seems weird they waited so long to offer only to then not take a commitment. Like I said an odd recruitment. He's got a high ceiling imo so will be interesting to see how he plugs into yalls offense

Let's hope he pans out better than Reed did for us this year

Most likely the case, just confusing the way the other poster worded that

I think Martin mad a great choice for himself. Ark is losing 4 senior receivers and only returning 1 WR who caught more than 1 pass from this season.
I personally never understood us pursuing JUCO receivers this go around with all the talent we have stacked up right now at WR. It will be interesting to see what decisions Dupre and Chark make in terms of NFL draft coming up, which might have played into Martin's decision. Maybe the coaches though both Chark and Dupre would leave early for the draft?
I think he's definitely an instant impact guy at Ark with everyone leaving.

LSU fan pretending like they didn't offer. Are you surprised?

A little but maybe that is because I don't view this board that often

WIth Martin, its likely because he has 3 years to play some place.

He will have his chance to, that is for sure. Though, we have a ton of young talent on the roster that has been able to red shirt because of the group of WRs we had with Morgan and Hatcher.

Not sure what the staff thinks of those younger guys if they are also taking his JUCO WR teammate. Sounds like they really want some instant impact guys at WR with everyone leaving.

Likely the size of the kids. Jordan Jones and Lemichael Pettway are going to be good ones for Arkansas. Jones is only 6'1" and Pettway is 6'2"
We lose Morgan, Hatcher, Hollister, Reed off our WR core. Thats a huge loss and just numbers wise, we need more bodies. Hollister was the biggest WR out of that group at 6'4".
