Fitzgerald straight robbed.
1st in total offense
1st in rushing TD's
3rd all time in rushing yards by a QB
Hurts - 2,592 pass, 22 TD, 9 INT. 3,433 Total, 34 TD's.
Fitz - 2,287 pass, 21 TD, 10 INT. 3,570 Total, 35 TD's.
In TWO fewer games...
1st in total offense
1st in rushing TD's
3rd all time in rushing yards by a QB
Hurts - 2,592 pass, 22 TD, 9 INT. 3,433 Total, 34 TD's.
Fitz - 2,287 pass, 21 TD, 10 INT. 3,570 Total, 35 TD's.

kinda surprised there isn't one single UGA player on the first or second team.
I know we suck this year, but we've got a few good guys.

I would think Nauta, Thompson, Sanders, etc might have a chance at 2nd string. Hell maybe even blankenship.

I would have guessed Trent Thompson or Roquan Smith for sure.

Not really surprising. Sanders played bad. The OL was too bad for Chubb or Michel to do anything really. Thompson and Roquan Smith could have theoretically been there but they aren't as known at this point. Bellamy had a decent season, but not all-SEC.
UGA's talent level is just way, way down among upperclassmen. That's what fills these lists.
ETA: McKenzie maybe should have made it as AP.

Over OJ? He's up for the Mackey. Yet second team.

It wouldn't be THAT outlandish:
per game stats this season:
OJH: 2.8 catches, 34 yards, 0.15 TDs
IN: 2.7 catches, 35 yards, 0.3 TDs
OJ has the benefit of playing in 3 more games (thus having more overall catches and yards, although less TDs) and an NFL OL to boot.
Again I'm not saying IN SHOULD have been on here, just saying it wouldn't be the most shocking thing ever if he were to make 2nd team.

austin allen not making first or 2nd team is a joke.
Skipper making it over ragnow is a joke
the sec leading rusher in yards being 2nd team is a joke

I will say that if I'm Kirby Smart, I'm posting this list on every available bulletin board in the football facility.

It's a popularity contest, you don't have to be the best to make 1st team.

These aren't team awards, they are individual. And individually he was statistically superior to Hurts.
I think Hurts deserves 1st team, but Fitz not getting second is ridiculous.
Edit: Dobbs and Kelly also had shite conference records.
