My information is the buyout Houston would want wouldn't be to Kiffin and Jimmy Sexton's liking.End game out West for Lane.LSU O/C in play.

So Kiffin would turn down a head coaching job making 3 million or more per year, with a multi year contract, for an assistant coaches job for less.

Yeah. I believe that.

Houston fans have been saying they want a huge buyout for their next coach because they dont want him running out on them like the past few have done. They want the next coach to not use them as a stepping stone. Thats not a good fit for Kiffin unless he wants to commit to them for at least five years.

He is a typical LSU guy. Delusional, that is.

I think that's a mistake for Houston.

Right now they are a hot stepping stone job. Ride this wave of hot, up and coming coaches and turn yourself into Boise south.

You may get a big 12 invite out of it eventually. As long as you're non p5, this is as good as it gets

100% agree this would be a big mistake for Houston. Look at the 5 coaches they have interviewed: Lane Kiffin, Les Miles, Lincoln Riley, Todd Orlando and Major Applewhite.... You're going to hire one of those 4 over Lane Kiffin because you would rather take a gamble on a coach so that he'll stay 5-6 years?

I have no idea why Brandeaux dislikes Bama so much.

If that's his end game maybe he just stays here until a PAC 12 job opens up

They're tired of seeing coaches hired away after having success. Briles, Sumlin, Herman. Can't blame them.

Better than having a coach no one wants.

Hope you strike gold and the big 12 invites you and the coach falls in love with Houston strippers

They think they are a big fish in the pond now...in reality, they are and always will be stepping stone job. They should embrace it and attract top coaches who are on their way up...

Actually if you read the LSU board we all despise Brando because he is constantly bashing LSU like the University took something from him.

He's the only major media person I've seen that thinks Kiffin taking a step down to LSU actually makes sense.
