Ohio State didn't win the conference championship.
The only reason I said that was because you threw Washington/ Colorado in there so it has to be about conference champions.

Assuming things play out like I suspect they will
1)Bama
2)Clemson
3)Ohio St
4)Washington

1. bama
2. clempson
3. washington/buffs
4. penn st./wisky
3 and 4 could change depending on who wins
no team "deserves" to be in the playoff if they can't win their own division, let alone their conference. period, point blank, EOT.

Wrong..... If my team I was coaching beat both of those better teams as you say and had the same record. You bet I would argue against it.

OK if that's the case then.
What happens if Bama, Clemson, Washington, OU ... all lose.
Its about conference champions who goes?
Florida
Colorado
OK St
Wisky/ Penn St?
See how stupid the conference champion argument is.

Problem is neither of the teams in the BIG 10 Title game beat Michigan.
14-7 Wisconsin
49-10 Penn State
oh well, they shouldn't have lost to Iowa. too bad, so sad. If Penn St. gets in, the committee will show that they appreciate good OOC games and won't hold you hostage because of that loss, prompting more teams to play bigger games.

Bama
Ohio State
Clemson
Washington
If Clemson or Washington lose, big 10 champ gets in over them. If Clemson and Washington lose, Colorado will be a 4 seed behind the big 10 champ at 3rd.
Michigan, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma state have 0 chance at going to the playoff. Bookmark it.

I would agree but it has to work both ways. Is Ohio St going to be given the right amount of respect for that big OOC win that they took a risk on scheduling? I suspect they will and I'm good with that, hence why I have them in my top 4.

oh well, shouldn't have lost the game. go home and cry about how stupid the rules are while someone takes your spot.
Go talk to the 2007 Patiots, I'm sure they'll agree with you. But in the real world, if you can't win the game that counts, you by definition do not deserve to proceed.

Michigan played Colorado OOC and won that game in a blowout.
Penn State played Pittsburgh OOC and lost. Losses happen is my point.
You fault Michigan for the loss at Iowa more than you fault Penn State for the loss to at Pittsburgh.

That comparison is a little off. They lost in the last game of the year.

So if Alabama loses to Florida on a last second FG, they don't belong in the Playoff?
The conference champion or else logic falls apart in two seconds. It's a terrible qualifier.

NFL has teams that don't win their division or their conference play in the Super Bowl sometimes.
Best teams should go regardless if you are conference champions or not.
