To all the Bama posters giving Kiffin credit for the trophies, I think you guys are forgetting that those titles belong way more to the defense than offense.

Bama doesn't win the natty last year without the job Kiffin did with Coker. Fact. They don't win the SEC the year before without the job Kiffin did with Sims. Fact.

No one ever accused Sims and Coker of being NFL talent.

Those lines and WRs were though. Kiffin is a great OC, I'm not saying he's shite. But I won't pretend that if LSU doesn't hire him that it is a massive failure. Kiffin helped modernize Bama's offense, but Sark takes over (because that is the whole reason he was brought on), I really don't see the offense taking a dip. It is similar to LSU with our DCs. We have had several who all ranked very high in defensive stats and did a great job. Great ones continue to do great, good ones look better than they are, and only truly bad ones (like our co-DC crap) can really mess it up.

If Bama loses Kiffin they will be fine. If LSU doesn't sign him, we should be fine.

Just because you say "fact" at the end of your sentence doesn't make it an actual fact. I think Kiffin has done a good job, but there's nothing saying we wouldn't have had another good OC if Kiffin hadn't been here. For example, in conference play, Bama averaged just as many or more points per game in 2012 and 2013 as Kiffin's offenses have. So, it's not like we're in some uncharted water with him calling plays.

I don't think it was Sims and Coker that the other poster was talking about. It might be the other 30 + players that they can rotate in and out without missing a beat on both sides of the ball.
