This guy would be lethal with a good OC I think. His defenses have been great at all stops.

I actually think he'd be a good one. Great recruiter. Great defenses.

Maybe. He's never coached any offensive position in his career and you really need a good all-around coach these days in college.

He goes one more year at UA's DC then takes a mid tier P5 gig and produces bigly.

I would never want him as HC of Alabama but I think he'll be successful when he does get the top spot.

He was real personable at Hoover. Not sure how he has approached the college game.

He doesn't have what it takes to run an entire program. I honestly don't think he'd make a good HC at the HS level, and that's from somebody who's been around him when he was still at the HS level.

Even if he did land an easy job and managed early succes, I can't see him sustaining it. His personality has lead to scandals being swept under the rug, and burning bridges and leaving with serious bad blood at Hoover, FSU, and UGA.

Honestly, I'm not even sold that he is an elite DC. Just look at the jobs he's had:
-Hoover HS, under Rush Probst with probably the most loaded defense in state history.
-Bama, DB coach under Saban who specializes in DBs
-FSU, loaded defense fil of 1st rounders
-UGA, inherited a loaded defense but left them depleted
-Bama, under Saban. Nuff said

Anybody on this board could have fielded stout defenses with the resources he's had.

Zero. Dude's WAAAY too big a hothead. Rumored that he got into several fights with other coaches while at Georgia.

Not everybody wants to be a HC.

Bad, IMO.

the guy is an absolutely elite DC (IMO), and that's where he thrives. But he's extremely unlikable and is a major dick, which is fine if you're saban and just beat everyone anyway but for pruitt that would only last so long.

When his name was being floated in SC's coaching search, I read some really questionable things about him. He might be better as a career coordinator.
