Next year will just be more of the same. There really is nothing our there to make us believe anything different. QB situation is still shite. Coaches are still shite. We will be lucky if we are able to keep some of the WR talent we have until next season. If I were Kyle Davis or NCM, Id be looking around. No future here for them from what we see.

Id like to think Woody could be good for us but there are no signs that he will be. I just cant believe that he has tons of talent and was unable to get playing time this year. Why would any coach have the QB shite show we had and have a guy who could make a different riding the pine?

Same Running backs, same receivers , same play calling, same QB's. From what I can see, we dont even have a real QB recruited for next class do we?

It is always nice to have something out there to make you feel like things could get better. But unless I am blind, I dont see it. Another year with SW at QB? We are so much better than that...

In all honestly what we really need is the Prince's to become the forces they look like they could be. Two "true" SEC caliber tackles would go a long way to fixing what we saw this season. We couldn't throw it down the field against anyone who had a draftable DL this season because the Pass Pro was so bad. Who knows if we'd been able to run on uga or bama with a healthy KP. I suspect the games would have looked similar to LSU with a win a against uga and loss to bama.

Are you sure we have 1 issue? I think there is more than 1 issue.

I believe it's all coaching/philosophy and strategy and player development. Which is of course all rolled up into the first: Gus and Rhett.

If Saban had our players I believe he could win with them. Hell I believe he could win with White OR Jeremy. He'd use Franklin effectively too. Aside from Hurts (who is a freak), he has won with only serviceable QBs over the last decade. But he makes them winners in a system that works.

Our recruiting at AU has not been QUITE as good as Bama. But we have had top 5-10 classes every year.

I believe it's all about our "system" or lack thereof.

1 QB with nobody behind him is a pretty standard QB situation.

KD and NCM aren't going anywhere this year.

Woody couldn't beat out White as a True Freshman and Redshirted so saying he sucks is just a brilliant move.

Same RBs but we add depth. You act like that's a bad thing. Pettway and Johnson look good. Johnson can't be the workhorse but he's a very good change of pace.

Same receivers. Well we get rid of the guys who you don't want playing and we still have the young WRs that you just melted over because they're leaving...

Might get Stidham to compete with Sean/Play when Sean gets hurt.

I can't believe how y'all still think White sucks. Look at what happened to the offense without him out there. Look at what he's dealing with...and he still makes it work.

We will have a worse OL so that will be different.

We won't have the depth on the DL so that will be different.

What's sad is, with the roster we have right now + the overall state of the conference, this season was actually there for the taking, and we could've been in the playoff talk whether we had beaten Bama or not. Part of me almost wishes Clemson had blown the doors off us, just so I wouldn't be second-guessing everything so much right now. I felt 10x less miserable during our 3-9 season in '12 than I do this season...that year, at least I knew our record said what we were, but I don't believe that at all for this year.

It's bad enough playing not to lose when you're in the lead, but FFS it's worse when you're playing that way and you aren't even winning the F'n game to begin with. What's Gus expecting, another LSU '94-type game to fall out of the sky for us?

I guess I didn't actually answer the OP, but I just had to vent somewhere
