Why are so many people saying A&M has a chance for final 4?

i dont get it. Danny Kanell said this week they are his dark horse to sneak in.
How the hell they are ranked 8th this week is beyond me. i just dont see how a team with 2 losses(one to a last place team) that wont even win its division can be in the final 4.
what am i missing?

Kanell is reading last week's notes.
Bama IMO is the only team that could make the playoffs as a non-conference champ and, even then, they'd need a lot of other crazy stuff to happen. Michigan could also fit that tag, but their SoS would force them to need even more help

i just dont see it. UCLA and Tennesse are garbage. those arent good wins
i dont think the committee will vote them in with the Miss St loss

If you lost to State then you don't get into the playoffs. That should be a rule.

At the time we were holding out hope to get into the playoffs with 2 losses, LSU still had a shot to win the SEC title by winning out and Auburn taking a loss to UGA or Bama. And LSU's losses were early season. A&M has 2 late season losses and no possible way to win the conference.

Wisconsin is ranked ahead of A&M. Deservedly so.
Nebraska has only lost to top ranked teams, but they haven't beaten anyone that is highly ranked, either. Their best win is against who, Oregon? That's not as impressive as beating Auburn, Arkansas, or Tennessee.
And they just got crushed by Ohio State 62-3.

No way A&M gets in to the playoffs. They don't deserve to after that abortion they produced last week. With the way the defense has looked the last few weeks, we might beat Ole Miss, no way in hell we stop Guice and LF7.

There is something brewing because if you look at both of your losses, you only dropped 4 spots after each.
And that includes the loss to MSU. Yes MSU. Someone in the committee likes them some Aggie.
