Is it possible for a 10-2 A&M to not go the Sugar Bowl?

If Mississippi State was truly an aberration and not a sign of things to come:

I'd prefer that they take a 9-3 Auburn or an 11-1 Alabama and we get another NY6 Bowl.

I am sick and tired of playing Big 12 retreads.

Right now, it's safe to assume that the four playoff teams are the SEC, ACC, PAC 12, and Big Ten champions.

Assuming Ohio State beats Michigan, and the other three stay unbeaten, you'd have:

1-Alabama/4-Washington (Fiesta)
2-Clemson/3-Ohio State (Peach)

For the other NY6 bowls, who would you have, since it's doubtful the PAC 12 gets 2 in the NY6?

Rose Bowl: Michigan vs. Louisville?
Sugar Bowl: Oklahoma vs. SEC team
Citrus Bowl: SEC Team vs. ?
Cotton Bowl: Wisconsin? vs. Western Michigan?

Knight returning to play Oklahoma would be a massive storyline for the media

10-2, top-10 ranked A&M (with a h2h win over Auburn) will definitely be first in line over Auburn.

And I would much rather play OU instead of whatever Group of 5 team makes in to the NY6 bowls.

Not if Auburn pulls the upset against the gumps

Yes, in that case, we'd be 3rd in line. But the op mentioned a 9-3 Auburn getting chosen over us, and I don't see any way that happens

I'm more worried about losing to a depleted OM this weekend.

If you think OUR defense is bad. Oklahoma is terrible against the run and even worse against the pass.

Based on past results, that is not out of the question

If USC upsets Washington this weekend, I think they could be a 2nd P12 team in the major bowls.

FSU in the ACC, Penn St in the B1G, WVU and OSU in the B12 could all be added to potential NY6 teams.

I would rather play OU in the Sugar Bowl than a team like Western Michigan in the Cotton Bowl. Mostly I'm concerned we won't finish 10-2 though

It's possible...but y'all won't even be in the discussion after thanksgiving and after this weekend I believe we can all agree with that. I could be wrong though, that's why we play the game

Oh sarge, LSU's defense will rape your offense and we both know this.

As for LSU's offense if we can't score on A&M, I give up.

After all our talk the last week about our chances of making the playoffs at #4 and scenarios of the teams behind us, I'm going to avoid speculating on the future.

Win one game at a time and if we go 10-2 great, we will play whoever we play, it will all work itself out. I'm making no assumptions at this point, 10-2 is possible as is 7-5.

You trying to wager that we don't score on LSU? I'll take that bet

We're obviously playing a what if scenario here, so your posts in this thread amount to rant trolling. Contain your melt, thanks.
