"Justin Evans loves to play football. He's going to compete, give you everything he's got," Chavis said of the former junior college transfer. "He's a might fine football player...I'm not sure that he's not as good as any safety as we've ever coached.

He sure has coached a lot of players that were the best ever. DJ Welter was once the best linebacker he had ever coached.

So he's not sure, and who is "we"

So no he is not saying Justin Evans is as good as any he's ever coached. If he was he could have just said that

Cheif's judge of talent means jack shite. That dude started DJ fricking Welter over Kendall Beckwith, Deion Jones and Kwon Alexander.

I don't even have to name an LSU safety to debunk this.

He coached Eric Berry at UT. If A&M fans think Justin Evans is better or even as good as Eric Berry,

All of the LSU/A&M smack-talk aside, I don't think he's incorrect as far as safeties go. TM played cornerback, right? And Peterson too. Eric Reid might have an argument, but gets points deducted for being a douchebag.
