Not one thread this week on these guys and surprisingly it has been fairly quiet on tRant as well.
What do you all reasonably expect from this game?
Obviously I would like to see us win this game especially since the past few years when we have had the better team they have found a way to squeak one out on us. It would be good to see the tables turned for that reason. Personally I think we look a bit more competitive in this one but still can't overcome our Oline woes to pull it out.
Something to the tune of 27-24 hillbillies
What say ye?

If we score more than 20 points we should win. Our defense played pretty bad last week and I don't expect them to repeat that.

Forcing Dobbs to throw it is all it is going to take. That in and of itself is a tall task with our Run D and Jalen Hurd with the ball, but it will be the deciding factor IMO. On offense I think Rico will be able to get some things going and having Turner back will help spread em sideline to sideline. They will have plays set up to get the ball out of Bentley's hands quickly.

I think we keep it close, and with some fortunate breaks, we can win. Tennessee doesn't scare me as much as they did a few weeks ago.
We need to score early and get the crowd into it. Should be a prime atmosphere for an upset.

I plan on being annoyingly loud. mostly due to the fact that I also plan on being LSU drunk.

As said by a few previous posters, the Gamecocks winning hinges on a few key things.
1. Stopping Hurd & co running wild
2. Offensive Line playing not like steaming dogshit on a frosty morning.
3. Creating turnovers on defense
I think if we do win, we have a repeat of 2005, beating the Vols on a last second field goal.

Carolina wins in 4Q comeback fashion.
Jones loses control of their season in a Major way. the fearful whispers of volls fans about Butch post-TSIO explode into widespread pandemonium after Bentley joins Taneyhill & Garcia as the 3rd Carolina true-freshman QB to start and beat the volls at W-B in league play.
his UTK program returns to its roots as a chronic 4th quarter choke artist. Gamecocks exorcise the demons of aborting sure wins over the volls in both 2013 & 2014 - together the LINK ]"cornerstone" of Jones' brick-by-brick shithouse in Knoxville.
interestingly, the volls give up more rush ypg than the Gamecocks. through 7 games each - UTK has also allowed 27 td, Carolina 18.
...speaking of 18
as always, keep it relentlessly loud Williams-Brice. unleash the 1000 Hells the volls so dearly deserve

Dear god. I sit in section 14.
That's right next to the opponents section, including the band.

I just don't what to think about this game ... I'm just along for the ride on this one. Going to party hard and enjoy it.

if my above satire somehow becomes reality, you get to see their ugly sad faces at close range. either way, you're gonna need the booze.

Garcia red-shirted his true freshman season: he beat them the next season (2008) as a red-shirt freshman, which was his first career win as the starting QB.....

Don't allow Dobbs to run, and don't frick up on special teams. If we can do that I think Bentley will join the ranks of Tannyhill and Garcia.
