If you need proof of what I am saying go back and visit the 2000's... In that time period LSU was 7-3 vs Bama. Saban won 6 of those 10 games (4 LSU, 2 Bama)and Miles won 3
The point is that your argument is stupid. If alabama didnt have saban we'd suck.... Alabama DOES have Saban and its why we are where we are right now. If a frog had wings it wouldnt bump its arse when it jumped. It's a stupid argument

I have, it's embarrassing. Maybe Katpin doesn't want to be embarrassed by Alabama fans posting similar shite.

Bama's major advantage is that they have more talent than anyone else in the country..and it's not close.
besides LSU....
And they've still owned us.

I was going to agree with post in general, until I read this...
Aranda has historically been phenomenal, and arguably better that Pruitt.
The only metric I looked at was total defense - there might be something better, I just didn't have the time so don't think I was cherry picking ...
Below is are team's total defense rankings..
Wisconsin
2012 (pre Aranda) - 29
2013 - 9
2014 - 9
2015 - 2
LSU
2015 pre Aranda - 10
2016 - 13
Florida State
2012 (pre Pruitt) - 3
2013 - 7
Georgia
2013 (pre Pruitt) - 52
2014 - 16
2015 - 5
Alabama
2015 pre Pruitt - 3
2016 - 12

No, You have missed the point. The OP posted all the BS about who is on the sidelines as assistants and their supposed worthiness etc.
Look at the record. When Saban was at LSU we won most of the games. Since Saban has been at Bama you have won most of the games. Don't need to look any further as to the reason why. He has done this with a long list of assistants and players on both teams. That is all I am saying.
2016 - Advantage Bama. He is not 100% in his win record in this game but it is almost 80%. Is this the year!

I know you like to pretend like you have similar talent. But They have a huge advantage on you guys.

They have a huge advantage on everyone, yet just about every year they lose a game.
It's just the way it goes, it's a pointy ball.

Except that you have exactly 50% of the time this century, dumbass.

I don't like to pretend. It is a fact that we've seen over and over again and in the NFL.
And we're one of maybe 2 other teams in the country that can say that. We consistently put out top talent. That is a fact.
Most players in the NFL by a good bit. Multiple players that are all-pro, and we have a ridiculous amount of talent that can go in the top few rounds this year. That doesn't even include Key, who has 8 sacks despite LSU missing a game.
At least 9 of our 11 defensive starters will be drafted, if not all 11. I wouldn't be surprised if over 18 of our 22 starters make it.
This is a talent rich team even for LSU, who had the most players in the NFL.
Bottom line: to say it isn't even close is just laughable

LSU has the advantage in coaching. Les Miles is gone so that's a plus for LSU.

You speak for the entire BAMA fan base if you truly believe that this is the major advantage that your team has. But as long as the system plays along you will always be ignorant to the fact. Go Team!!!!

With Miles I would always concede that point. Now you still have advantage but not by much. Plus for once we may actually use the damn two weeks for something

I take it you don't follow recruiting, or the NFL draft. This is why any LSU fan will immediately acknowledge how great Nick Saban is. The truth is that we DO have comparable talent using any third party metric you want to go with. And despite that Bama racks up titles while LSU has wallowed in mediocrity. Its why the Miles era became so frustrating. And as previously stated this is one of the most talent rich LSU squads that we've seen in a while. Don't kid yourself LSU is stacked w players. They are just not part of the machine that is Nick Saban at Bama.

Many people have pointed this out. But Louisiana produces an insane amount of high caliber football players. So yes, LSU can hang with Bama on the recruiting trail. But it's what you do with the talent. If it was all about 4 & 5 stars, Southern Cal would win every year. Wisconsin might have three or four 4* players on their roster. LSU has a boatload more, but Wisky's upset them. Because of coaching. Wisky's D-Line is built like a SEC team's and they have excellent corners. Outside of that, LSU had the advantage at every position. But Chryst out coached Miles. Miles has lost a lot on that fastball. It was the right move by LSU to let him go. But if you think that the next Saban is going to be floating around out there, I don't see it. Now you might get Brian Kelly after ND cuts him loose. He runs a hybrid pro style and read option offense that the Bayou Bengals may like. Or Lane Kiffin could be intriguing.
