Am I reading this right? Auburn and LSU think they can go to the NC?

Not that we will, but if LSU were to win out they would be in the playoff, no doubt.

Would bet you $5,000 on it. (Again, assuming LSU wins out, which we won't, and the conversation will be moot)

I don't know. You can't say that with certainty. Is it far fetched? Sure.

But if LSU wins out (highly unlikely IMO, but possible), they are currently ranked 19th(ish) and would finish out the season beating 4 ranked teams, including #1 and another possible top 10 team.

That would vault LSU undoubtedly into the top 10 and who knows what happens to other teams the rest of the way.

It's possible if you look at it objectively.

If either wins out, it eliminates bama from the playoffs. No way the Committee takes a non-divisional winner.
