Kid definitely has to work on his timing. Ridley, Foster, Stewart, and Howard are too good not to be able to use them.

Sorry didn't mean to downvote you. I agree, but unfortunately I think this is a fundamental problem. He's simply not a great passing QB. Hopefully he'll make significant improvements, but it's doubtful

I respect your opinion, because Jalen's passing has been frustrating at times, but how can you write a true freshman off in his first season of play? Outside of passing, he has all the intangibles you look for in a good dual threat QB. His timing is just off and hopefully this bye week will allow for him to get a lot of passes in (skeleton drills) with little to no game prep.

No worries brah. I get down voted so much on the PB I'd be disappointed if I didn't get one.

They said during the broadcast that he came here to learn to be a pocket passer. Let's hope Lane can fix his flaws.

Sadly, this is an understatement. I've been hoping to see improvement, but 8 games in, Hurts is as inaccurate as the day he started.

Actually, he's even more inaccurate now, honestly. Kiffin has worked around this weakness, but if it doesn't improve, it's going to mean losses at some point.

No. What you're seeing is the result of having an 18 year old true freshman playing QB. There's a reason you almost never see a successful true freshman QB. Considering what's he's done so far, he's been amazing. His composure and maturity is incredible. He's just raw and inexperienced as a Passer. Which is exactly what anyone intelligent would expect.

We're number one, and are playing like it on both sides of the ball. It's not perfection. But it's far from a reason to start acting like a pussy.

We need a little perspective here. He is a true freshman playing in a completely different system than he did in high school. He was a running quarterback that wants to be a passer. Kiffin can teach him that. He already has all the intangibles that you can't teach. Hurts will be fine.
