What do you think about an eleven game schedule?

I think it could be argued that it would the best route. It will never happen from a financial standpoint but lets face it, these kids could use the extra week off. Drop the cupcake and rest your kids. The game has changed with offenses running more plays than they did 10 years ago and with the CFP you see teams like Bama last year playing 15 games. Then the 10 win season means something again.

Same amount of games, but the sec west contracts to one game a year with the big 12 and east with the acc (already there). Would keep the big 12 alive and out of the southern recruitment

Seems like LSU has already started this 11 games a year trend.

frick no. We haven't made a bowl game with how easy it is right now. Do you think we want to make it harder?

Or, and here's a crazy thought, just add another bye week.

It's almost like that would help with any situation like Florida/LSU as well.

I understand you sorry scofflaws that always win everydamnthing with no end in sight might be concerned about an 8-team playoff and the toll that takes. Don't drag down the rest of the best sport in the world for the sake of 8 teams, sez me.

I am in favor of an eleven game schedule or if staying with a twelve game schedule, having two bye weeks

What about 11 games but everyone plays a consolation game on championship Saturday. Division 2nd places play. 3rd places play. 7th places play. Extra cross division game and should all be somewhat competitive.

So 12 games including the championship weekend. Conference champions don't have to play a 13th. Then we can make an 8 team playoff.

Great idea. The CFP also needs to have the first game at the home of the best team (1vs4 at 1's home and 2vs3 at 2's home). If you went to both PO games you would know why that's important. The price of the championship tickets went for face value or less on stubhub. As fans we were worn out (and broke). I can't imagine how the football players felt.

It could be 15 games and we'd still never get 10 regular seasons wins, so whatever, I'm game.
