Think About Florida

I don't know why everyone expects them to send their football team to Baton Rouge and run the risk of not being able to get back home for several days if the storm is bad and knocks out power, roads, and airports. They are waiting as long as they can to make a decision to cancel and these players have families they might need to help prepare for the storm too. LSU just went through flooding and you know damn well they wouldn't have sent those players to play a game away from home a day before if they thought might not be able to get back. So just realize UF is playing the game at home or they are not playing at all and stopping complaining so much about it bc it's not changing anything.

Yeah, think about Florida for a change.

So the team would rather be in Florida in the middle of a hurricane. No power, A/C, TV, food, etc., than be in a hotel in Baton Rouge or New Orleans with all of the above listed amenities?
Pure Genius. Think before posting.

UF admins have known about this for days now and done absolutely nothing. Your argument doesn't work but nice try.

Plus, McBeaver knows that the last coach who agreed to move a game Tiger Stadium never coached another game.

They are delaying the process to get it cancelled.
Fla doesn't want to play this game regardless of where it is and they are using a natural disaster as the scapegoat.
Canceled game > loss

Yet Florida insists on keeping the game in Gainesville which would affect MORE PEOPLE if this happens. Hahahahahaha idiots

Near their families? Yeah, it is a strong possibility especially if this ends up being worse than expected.
Playing a football game may not be the most important thing come Saturday.

that's kinda the rub. don't you think option #2 should be to play the game somewhere? the perception is that Fla is slow walking this knowing that the likely outcome is now a cancellation. don't get me wrong, I understand not wanting to give up home field advantage, but cancellation should be the last, not the first, resort.

All of the things you said are perfect examples of why UF's administration is incompetent. Can you imagine if your family is trying to get the hell out of town and they're stuck waiting to find out whether or not their son's game will still be on for 11AM on Saturday?
Or what about the UF stadium employee who lives in Palatka and has an employer who wants her to be ready to go for 11AM Saturday?

There is some car salesman type bluffing going on by UF right now convincing the SEC offices to keep the game in Gainesville only to cancel the game Friday night when they all of a sudden don't have the resources to host the game.
It's not even necessary, SEC offices don't want the game played either so I'm calling both their bluffs.
